ARENA Centre for European Studies University of Oslo Sognsveien 68 ARENA’s premises are located some 4 kilometers north of Oslo's city centre, next to Ullevål Stadion (the national football arena). You will find us on the 2nd floor in a red brick building opposite to the football stadium. The building bears a sign with ‘Universitetet i Oslo’ and the entrance is between the buildings of number 68 and 70.
From the city centre to ARENA Take the metro (T-bane, marked by a blue ‘T’) from Nationaltheatret to Ullevål Stadion by the westbound lines #4 Ringen, #3 Storo or #6 Sognsvann (four stops). All lines leave from the same platform. The cost of a single ticket is NOK 30 and tickets must be purchased in advance (see more here: https://ruter.no/en/buying-tickets/tickets-and-fares/single-tickets/). Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) Oslo Airport Gardermoen is roughly 50 km north of Oslo, and the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) is the fastest way of getting to the city centre. The train leaves every 10 minutes from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), and every 20 minutes to the station Nationaltheatret (train continuing to Drammen). The ride takes 22 and 25 minutes, respectively, and the cost is NOK 180 (€20). Tickets are available at ticket counters and vending machines at the airport, but the most convenient option is E-ticket. E-tickets are purchased by credit card at card readers in the Arrival hall (before the stairway to the platform). From OSL to ARENA Take any of the airport express train departures and get off either at Oslo S (Oslo Central Station) or Nationaltheatret. The metro station (T-bane) at the central train station Jernbanetorget is connected to Ullevål Stadion by the westbound lines #4 Ringen, #3 Storo or #6 Sognsvann (six stops). From Nationaltheatret you can take the same lines, only four stops. All lines leave from the same platform.
From OSL to Scandic Victoria Take the Airport Express Train direction Drammen (departure every 20 minutes, note that trains with Oslo S as their final destination will not take you all the way) and get off at Nationaltheatret, which is located only a short walk from Scandic Victoria Hotel (500 m). Make sure to use the exit Stortingsgata (underground, via the metro station) when leaving Nationaltheatret station, not Ruseløkkveien (the first exit on top of the escalator) or Parkveien/Henrik Ibsens gate (which will take you in the complete opposite direction, behind the royal palace). Follow the street Stortingsgata (parallel to the main street Karl Johan) in a southeast direction towards the parliament (Storting). Take a right on Rosenkrantzgata.
