Kommunen hedrar Nils Liedholms minne med en bronsbyst på central plats. Bland gästerna återfinns Nils Liedholms son, Carlo, tillsammans med merparten av de nu levande legenderna från fotbolls-VM 1958. På plats finns också bland andra Lars-Åke Lagrell, Lennart Johansson och ännu så länge hemliga gäster från den italienska fotbollstoppen. Nils Liedholm, som avled 2007, föddes i Valdemarsvik 1922. Under alla åren i Italien behöll Liedholm de starka banden med födelseorten. Valdemarsviks kommun höll ständig kontakt med Nils, som var tydlig med att han inte ville bli staty så länge han levde. - Vad som sker sen styr jag inte över, lär han ha sagt. Och nu ska bronsbysten, skapad av konstnären Peter Linde, avtäckas. Den placeras i Rosariet mitt i Valdemarsvik, där det bland annat planterats rosor, döpta till Nils Liedholm "Lidas", särskilt framtagna för ändamålet. Gästlistan den 25 juni innehåller namn som Carlo Liedholm, Nils son, som kommer med sina egna två söner. Fotbollsförbundets Lars-Åke Lagrell kommer tillsammans med Lennart Johansson, gamle UEFA-presidenten, själv god vän till Nils. Nils Liedholms gudson, Thomas Nordahl, son till en annan av de svenska legenderna, Gunnar Nordahl, kommer också. De överlevande veteranerna från VM 1958 är på plats - en skara gentlemän födda på 20- och 30-talen anförda av bland andra Åke "Bajdoff" Johansson, Kurre Hamrin, Sigge Parling med flera. I anslutning till avtäckningen invigs en utställning till Nils Liedholms minne. Utställningen följer Nils liv genom fem epoker - från Valdemarsvik via det svenska fotbollslandslaget, livet som aktiv i Italien, tränare och slutligen åren som vinbonde på den egna vingården. Den 25 juni inleds också Nils Liedholm Cup, en fotbollsturnering för killar och tjejer i åldrarna 13-16 år. Cupen spelas på Grännäs idrottsplats, där Nils Liedholms karriär en gång startade. CSR in Swedish football A multiple case study of four clubs in Allsvenskan By: Lina Nilsson 2018-10-09 Supervisors: Marcus Box, Lars Vigerland and Erik Borg Södertörn University | School of Social Sciences Master Thesis 30 Credits Business Administration | Spring term 2018 ABSTRACT The question of companies’ social responsibility taking, called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has been widely debated in research since the 1900s. However, the research connecting CSR to sport was not started until the beginning of the 2000s, meaning that there are still many gaps in sport research that has to be filled. One such gap is research on CSR in a Swedish football context. Accordingly, the purpose of the study was firstly to examine how and why Swedish football clubs – organised as non-profit associations or sports corporations – work with CSR, and secondly whether or not there was a difference in the CSR work of the two organisational forms. A multiple case study of four clubs in Allsvenskan was carried out, examining the CSR work – meaning the CSR concept and activities, the motives for engaging in CSR and the role of the stakeholders – in detail. In addition, the CSR actions of all clubs of Allsvenskan were briefly investigated. The findings of the study showed that the four clubs of the multiple case study had focused their CSR concepts in different directions and performed different activities. As a consequence, they had developed different competences and competitive advantages. Furthermore, the findings suggested that the motives for engaging in CSR were a social agenda, pressure from stakeholders and financial motives.

Seven seats are available, six of them for four-year terms and the last one for a two-year term. The closing date for applications was midnight 25 February 2002. The elections will take place at the XXVI Ordinary UEFA Congress, to be held in Stockholm, Sweden on 25th April 2002. Lennart Johansson was earlier confirmed as the sole nominee for the post of UEFA President. Des Casey (Republic of Ireland), Frantisek Chvalovsky (Czech Republic), and Claude Simonet (France) will retire from the UEFA Executive Committee. Four other members of the UEFA Executive Committee will stand for re-election: Senes Erzik (Turkey), Dr. Viacheslav Koloskov (Russia), Giangiorgio Spiess (Switzerland) and Angel Maria Villar Llona (Spain). My aim is to convince the leaders of European football to share my vision of football. It has been said that my vision of football is romantic or idealistic, but I believe that, in the long term, it is the right way to ensure the survival of our game and maintain its extraordinary popularity. We should not be seeking instant reward and selling our “products” to the highest bidder, but making sure that our competitions have as wide an appeal as possible and doing everything we can to ensure that they are attractive both in terms of the quality of play and results that are not a foregone conclusion. Of course, football needs money. It needs it to improve the education of coaches and, through them, the skill of players. It needs money to improve its facilities, to offer players the best possible conditions and spectators a safe and comfortable environment. It also needs money to develop grassroots football and to fulfil its social responsibilities by contributing to youth education. IN THIS ISSUE On the other hand, football has no use for profiteers, for people who, seeing how successful football is as a business, get involved for their own personal gain.
