Our sincere thanks go to Brian (TC 1945) and June CONTENTS Roberts, who have donated generously to help our students and programs. 2020 Snapshot 2 Donor profile 5

I came from a small town and a This is how you help 6 one-teacher school, so going to 2020 Executive of the Governors of the Foundation 10 Trinity was a big opportunity that had a profound impact on me during a 2020 Executive Committee of the Foundation 10 formative time of my life. I know that Funds’ performance 11 other students, even today, are in a similar position – coming from rural 2020 Donors 12 or less privileged backgrounds, so we 2020 Gifts in Wills received 18 want to be able to help them benefit Bulpadock Club members 20 from an urban education. Leeper Society members 22 I had originally planned to leave a gift Special donor groups 23 to Trinity in my Will, but the saying goes that you should give with a warm hand, so June and I decided to offer our donation now. In this way we can directly see the impact that our gift has on Trinity and its students, which is such a nice feeling. Brian Roberts

2020 was perhaps the toughest year the College has ever faced – we started the year with devastating bushfires in 40 Number of Australia, only to be thrust into a global pandemic soon events (25 after. But when we needed our supporters, you were online) there, helping Trinity College to weather the challenges of 2020, while no doubt dealing with your own difficult circumstances too. Number More than 630 people donated to Trinity, totalling $3.25 of people million. It’s safe to say that, without this philanthropic willing to support, things would have been very different for the 1939 volunteer College. Many students would not have been able to continue their time at Trinity, and we certainly could not have continued to support some of the activities that make the Trinity experience so special. My sincere thanks go to you all. Ian Solomon (TC 1989) Chairman, Executive Committee of the Foundation

4 Bryan (TC 1956) and Rosemary Cutter have been loyal supporters of Trinity College for more than 30 years. In particular, they have donated generously to our scholarship program, given Bryan’s time at Trinity was made possible through a scholarship. The Cutters’ donations have given many deserving young people, including Indigenous students, the chance to join Trinity when they otherwise would not have had the opportunity to do so.

5 THIS IS HOW YOU HELP Your donations meant our choir got to tour Canada and the US in January and February and they were able to release the album Walking on Waves.

6 We aim to help deserving students from all backgrounds to imagine and achieve a better world. THANKS TO YOU, THEY DO.

Your donations gave Trinity a much- needed boost during the pandemic, so we could continue to support our students with activities and events that helped our community stay connected.

7 Your donations gave many talented young people the opportunity to join our community through a range of scholarships.

8 Your donations helped us create a modern, new residential building that is now home to nearly 100 students.

18 Andrew Farran (TC 1957) has been involved with Trinity for many years and is Deputy Chair of the Governors of the Trinity College Foundation. We are ever thankful to Andrew for his generous donations to the College over more than 30 years, which have helped fund the Gateway Building, Indigenous programs, the Chapel, our Young Leaders Program, scholarships and the Choir of Trinity College. He has even gifted a Tyndale Bible. In a great ongoing act of support, Andrew, through his foundation, is providing for Trinity well into the future.

I wanted to offer a bequest to Trinity, as the College has given me so much over the years and is an institution that I hold in very high regard. I can see that my donations have a positive impact on students – bright, young people with their futures ahead of them – and I want to help even more students to benefit from the Trinity experience in years to come.
