A day of talks and workshops to inspire fashion students and young creatives

London, 7th July 2015: On Saturday, 25th July, Amazon will open the doors of its new studio for fashion students to experience a series of live talks and workshops. The event includes talks from guests including Jefferson Hack, Nicola Formichetti, , Susie Lau, Matthew Stone and Zowie Broach alongside interactive workshops with some of London’s most renowned creatives including Gary Card and Ryan Lo, a live publishing studio from Ditto Press and a portrait studio with fashion designer and illustrator Claire Barrow. Talking about the event, Dazed and Confused co-founder Jefferson Hack explained, “Dazed Fashion Forum is open to all young creatives who want to break into fashion and media. It’s about leftfield thinkers, sharing radical ideas, opening up new possibilities and showing how youth can break into the industry and make a mark. It’s taking our experience and sharing it openly, with insight and demonstration to unlock the potential of the new generation coming through. This is about all our futures; the future of creativity, the future of our industry and the future of cultural diversity relies on it.”

“Amazon Fashion is proud to be partnering with the Dazed team to bring this event to life” said Juliet Warkentin, Director Brand and Creative at Amazon Fashion EU. “This is a unique opportunity to bring creative role models together with young people just breaking into the industry. We believe in nurturing emerging talent and this is an inspiring project to be involved with.”

Speakers at the event include Jefferson Hack, editorial director and publisher of Dazed Group, Creative Director Nicola Formichetti, fashion designer Gareth Pugh with AnOther Magazine fashion director and collaborator Katie Shillingford, founder of Style Bubble Susie Lau, creative director and set designer Shona Heath, Somerset House curator Shonagh Marshall, artist Matthew Stone, composer and producer Frederic Sanchez, Royal College of Art Head of Fashion Zowie Broach, make-up artist and creative Isamaya Ffrench, Sang Bleu editor Reba Maybury, fashion technology company Studio XO and artist and model Phoebe Collings-James.
