The Hawks are now 11-3 this season. The athletic Jaguars led most of the way in this contest as they built an early 14-point lead before Santiago Canyon rallied and cut the deficit to 4 at half. The Hawks battled back in the second half, finally grabbing the lead with 7:23 left to play on a 3-point basket by Rocket Henderson. Garrity (15 points on 5 3-pointers) hit 2 huge 3-point shots. Kamron Fleming (10 points and 6 rebounds) slashed his way to the basket. Coach Todd Dixon was pleased to come away with the win, "We'll take it. That was a battle tonight. I thought Southwestern played very well and was proud of how we responded after the early deficit. It is the second game in a row where we have had a slow start which is a little concerning. Hopefully, we can get that turned around on Thursday." Santiago Canyon is off until Thursday, December 14th when they host Cuyamaca College of San Diego. The contest starts at 5:00 p.m.
