Joint Claim for Satellite Retransmission Royalty Fees
In accordance with section 119 of the Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C., and Subpart B of Part 360 of the Copyright Royalty Board regulations, 37 CFR 360.10 through 360.15, the copyright owner claimants named herein file with the Copyright Royalty Board of the Library of Congress a claim to royalty payments collected from satellite carriers retransmitting copyrighted programming contained on over-the-air television and radio broadcast signals. This joint claim to royalties is for fees collected from satellite carriers during calendar year 2005.

Example A (Non-Music): The copyrighted broadcast program Mystic Pizza, which is owned by Orion Pictures Corporation was the subject of a primary transmission made by broadcast station WGN, which is licensed to the city of Chicago, located in the state of Illinois, on October 28, 2005 and was retransmitted by satellite carrier Echostar Satellite Corp to subscribers outside that station's local market.

The copyrighted broadcast program Stargate SG-1, which is owned by MGM Global Holdings Inc. was the subject of a primary transmission made by broadcast station WBZL, which is licensed to the city of Miami, located in the state of Florida, on August 13, 2005 and was retransmitted by satellite carrier DIRECTV, Inc. to subscribers outside that station's local market.
