OrnitološkI festival Međunarodno-znanstveni skup | Čapljina 2016. Poštovani, na samom početku dozvolite da vas sve pozdravim u ime organizatora 5. ORNITOLOŠKOG FESTIVALA – međunarodno znanstvenog skupa, Ekološke udruge „Lijepa naša“, Ornitološkog društva „Naše ptice“ i domaćina – općine Čapljina, te uz podršku EuroNatura. Potporu u organizaciji Ornitofestivala pružili su: Federalno ministarstvo kulture i športa, Federalno ministarstvo okoliša i turizma, Federalno ministarstvo nauke i obrazovanja, Županijsko ministarstvo kulture i športa HNŽ i Javno poduzeće Park prirode „Hutovo blato“. Još od svojih početaka u Kaknju i Kraljevoj Sutjesci 2012., u Gardiški 2013., Livnu 2014., Nacionalnom parku „Kozara“ 2015. pa sve do danas, Ornitološki festival promovira prirodnu i kulturnu baštinu Bosne i Hercegovine i nastoji potaći razvijanje novih turističkih programa na osnovu birdwatchinga (promatranja ptica). To potvrđuje i tema ovogodišnjeg 5. Ornitofestivala „Uloga i pozicija NVO-a i institucija u provedbi NATURA2000 te promocija i stvaranje održivih turističkih programa na bazi birdwatchinga“, s ciljem povezivanja nevladinog i vladinog sektora na zaštiti i očuvanju prirodnih staništa ptica, NATURA2000 te promociji i razvoju održivih turističkih aktivnosti na Jadranskom migratornom putu/Adriatic flyway. Upravo zbog sve izražajnijeg negativnog utjecaja na ptice i njihova stanista na Jadranskom migratornom putu, nameće se obveza svim sudionicima u prostoru da koordiniranim akcijama doprinesu očuvanju močvarnih staništa i ptica močvarica. Koncept NATURA 2000 otvara nove mogućnosti i kreira cjelovitu politiku kojom će prirodna područja biti sigurna utočišta, u kojima neće biti isključene sve ljudske aktivnosti. 9 5. OrnitološkI festival Međunarodno-znanstveni skup | Čapljina 2016. Očuvanje biološke raznolikosti na određenim područjima traži uključivanje i poticanje širokog spektra dionika (lovaca, zaštitara, gospodarstvenika,...) čije aktivnosti moraju ostati kompatibilne s ciljevima NATURA 2000. Zbog nedovoljno afirmiranog pozitivnog učinka NATURA 2000 u bosansko hercegovačkoj javnosti, otvorila se mogućnost za nevladine organizacije da održavanjem ornitofestivala promoviraju održive oblike turizma poput birdwatchinga koji imaju dobre ekonomske i socijalne učinke bez negativnog utjecaja na prirodu, okoliš i lokalnu kulturu. Prostori delte Neretve i močvare Hutovo blato s tradicionalnim kulturalnim krajobrazima predstavljaju pogodne prirodne i kulturalne izvore, koji su preduvjet za afirmaciju novog turističkog proizvoda–birdwatchinga/ promatranja ptica. Stoga, stručna i znanstvena valorizacija prirodnih resursa uz mudro korištenje bioraznolikosti presudan je čimbenik za očuvanje močvarnih staništa te održivi razvoj cijele regije i društva u cjelini. Čovjeku su ptice u prvobitnoj zajednici koristile za hranu, a evolutivnom nadgradnjom i za druge oblike korisnosti. Ptice su zastupljene u kulturi i umjetnosti od pretpovijesnih vremena. Zajedno s ostalim životinjama prikazane su u ranim spiljskim slikama. Ptice su česta pojava u religijama, vjerovanjima i popularnoj kulturi u kojoj ispunjavaju nekoliko uloga. U vjerovanjima služe kao glasnici, svećenici ili vođe pod određenim božanstvima. Tijekom povijesti postaju predmetom kulturnog izričaja, pa tek pojavom grčkih filozofa i predmetom istraživanja. Ptice su vrlo vidljive i uobičajene životinje i ljudi s njima imaju dug odnos. Prvu klasifikaciju ptica napravili su Francis Willughby i John Ray u svojoj knjizi iz 1676. naslova Ornithologiae pa je taj rad bio osnova za današnji klasifikacijski sustav kojega je prvi osmislio Carl Linné 1758. Radom želimo prikazati povijesnu vezu ptica i čovjeka. Ključne riječi: ptice, čovjek povijest, kultura 11 Međunarodno-znanstveni skup | Čapljina 2016. 5. OrnitološkI festival Summery: Connection beetween man and birds through the processes of evolution is very significant. The man has used birds in primitive society for food, and evolutionary superstructure and other forms of usefulness. Birds are represented in cultures and art since prehistoric times. Together with the other animals are shown in the early cave paintings. The birds are common in religions, beliefs and popular culture in which they fulfill several roles. In beliefs serve as messengers, priests or leaders under certain religion worshiping. Throughout history, they became the subject of cultural expression, but only the appearance of the Greek philosophers and the subject of research. The birds are highly visible and common animals, bird and humans have a long relationship. The first classification of birds have made Francis Willughby and John Ray in their book of 1676 titles Ornithologiae but that work was the basis for today’s classification system, which is the first designed by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. Period od 1954. do 1961. obilježen je proglašenjem Hutova blata zaštićenom prirodnom rijetkosti od značaja za SR BiH, rješenje od 3.6.1954. Uredbom Izvršnog vijeća SR BiH 1961. godine formirano je posebno lovište koje je postojalo do 1995. Odlukom Vlade HR HB 1995. godine (Narodni list HR HB br. 45/95) na području Hutova blata uspostavlja se Javno poduzeće Park prirode „Hutovo blato” sa sjedištem na Karaotoku, općina Čapljina. Savjet za zaštitu ptica (ICBP) uvrstio je 1998. „Hutovo blato” u listu međunarodno važnih staništa ptica, a 2001. upisan je na listu močvara od međunarodne važnosti po metodologiji Ramsarske konvencije i registrirano je pri UNESCO­­-vom Direktoratu u Parizu.

This is a multi-purpose fruit tree and besides its fresh edible fruits, is used in diverse ways because they have distinct taste and aroma. Edible fruits of wild apricots has been using from the past till now as dry fruit, process into jam, marmalade, fruit juice etc. in Turkey. Traditional uses and drying of apricot fruits have been found to be of great significance in the socio-economy of local people of these areas. The bitter seeds of wild grown apricots are valuable material for pharmacology to treat cancer. In Turkey, all apricot cultivars are grafted on seedlings obtained from wild apricot seeds. More recently in particular wild grown apricot fruits have been gaining more importance particularly in fruit juice industry in Turkey and there were growing interest to its juices because of its better sugar/acidity balance than cultivated apricots. Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) marker was employed first time to analyse genetic diversity of 57 seed propagated early-maturated wild grown apricot genotypes sampled from different parts of Sakit valley in Mediterranean Region of Turkey.

Our first visit.” The silence, punctuated by dropping jaws, shocked eyes and the ‘does not compute’ facial expressions symptomatic of brain dumps, was palpable and seemingly eternal. It’s a pity that so many of we British are geographically challenged. Notable exceptions are followers of European football, history buffs, RAF participants in the Balkan crisis in the 1990s (especially navigators) and perhaps people who have flown by EasyJet or Ryanair on holiday to such places as Dubrovnik and Rijeka. Not for them hazarded responses such as, “Near Cambodia, isn’t it?”, “Central America?”, “Not been to Africa, myself” and “No, it’s not Europe, it’s somewhere in Central Asia”. I concede that vivid imagination, albeit faulty, interestingly produced “I remember reading about Rupert of Herzegovinia (note spelling and pronunciation) a long time ago” (Good try, but it was Rupert of Hentzau, which is an 1898 novel by Antony Hope and the sequel to The Prisoner of Zenda). Why Herzegovina? Sue was approaching a special birthday, and since on one of my special birthdays two years previously she had treated me to a holiday in southern Spain, a quid pro quo was on the cards. Then, in BTO News, we saw an advert entitled Wild Herzegovina, clicked on the featured website (www.wild-herzegovina.com) and were captivated: the tours are based in Mostar and the itineraries include routes within 100km or so radius, but these are planned to visit several locations en route (I urge you to explore that website – it’s very well put together).

The first confirmed nesting cases were recorded in the 1970s (Obratil, 1978, 1984) but due to anthropogenic impacts these nesting sites disappeared quickly. Conversely, during this period the species was recorded regularly wintering in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but unfortunately quantitative data are scarce. Since 2005 surveys have also been completed during regular ornithological research undertaken by the members of the Ornithological Society “Naše ptice” (“Our birds”). In this paper data are presented collected in the period 2005 – 2011. Methodology The paper incorporates all data collected in the period 2005 – 2011 during the authors’ research and also data acquired from the members of the “Birdwatchers’ network in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. Part of the data relates to previously published reports from the International Waterbird Census (IWC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Dervovi ć, 2005, 2006, 2007; Kotrošan & Dervovi ć, 2010). Results Nesting After nesting colonies on Hutovo blato and Barda ča disappeared at the end of the 20 th century there were no data about the nesting of this species in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a long time. Obratil and Matvejev (1989) indicated this species to be nationally extinct as a nesting species (Ex). In the Hutovo blato area in 2008 nesting by five breeding pairs was recorded (pers.

Ing. Agr. Abstract: The lower flow of the Neretva River (delta) covers approximately 20.000 hectares. This is a unique, humid Mediterranean area with a number of important and protected wetland habitats and is a ornithological, ichthyology, and botanical reserve. By measuring the physico-chemical parameters at 20 locations, the water quality was determined with special attention to the occurrence of salinity. Increasing salinity of the Neretva water was found, owing to inflow reduction groundwater of the river Trebišnjica and the uncontrolled deepening of the Neretva riverbed. During a one-year monitoring period, field tests were conducted of significant maritime impacts on water quality. The physical parameters were the measured temperature, conductivity, electrical resistance, salinity, chemical quantity of dissolved oxygen (expressed as a percentage, mg L-1), the oxygen pressure in water, and the pH value. The values of the above parameters were measured in the field with WTW multiparameter instruments.
