Training Outline

Course Title: Vocational Drivers Training

Duration: 1 day

Venue and Date: Ikh Mongol Office; 12th of Oct, 2017.

Target Audience: Intercity bus drivers, bus-, lorry-, and hazardous goods drivers, taxi drivers, and driving Instructors. Objectives: Improve the road safety knowledge of Vocational and professional drivers, especially knowledge that is most valuable in preventing a crash.

Overview: • Speed, Defensive Driving, and Traffic Safety; • First Aid – the driver may be first to arrive at a collision; • The risk and consequences of travelling at high speeds; • Vehicle safety features and its limitations; • The dynamics of a vehicle at speed; • Avoidance of overtaking and the minimal time saved by overtaking; • Driver drowsiness during long journeys. Participants: 55 people (42 people from 21 bus operating companies, 2 from National Road Transport Center, 3 people from Transport Department of Capital city, 2 people from MRTD and 5 people from TA).

Training Outline

Course Title: First Aid Training of Trainer Doctors and Nurses

Duration: 2 days.

Venue and Date: Ikh Mongol Office; 18th of Dec to 19th of Dec, 2017.

Target Audience: Specialists and doctors of local public health centers of Districts and Provinces. Objectives: To provide modern first aid training to doctors and nurses, and to provide them with a CPR training kit so that they can disseminate the knowledge and train more first responders, such as other doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers, paramedics, bus drivers, school teachers, and so on.

Overview: The training was carried out in two sessions:  Basic life support  Trauma life support Participants: 1 doctor and 1 nurse from every province and district, 5 persons from National Center for Public Health, 2 persons from Ministry of Health, 1 person from MRTD, and 5 persons from project team, in total of 80 participants.

Course Title: Road Safety Training – Traffic Police Officers

Duration: 3 days

Venue and Date: Law Enforcement University; 22nd of Jan to 24th of Jan, 2018.

Target Audience: Traffic police officers of districts and provinces.

Objectives: The training purpose was to strengthen the capacity of traffic police officers within various road safety topics, and to prepare training teachers. Overview: Day 1:  Road safety legal environment;  Traffic accident investigation guidelines;  Estimating the speed of a motor vehicle in a collision. Day 2:  Road safety audit;  Safe system approaches;  Analysis and Remedial Measures Specialist;  Identification of black spots. Day 3:  First aid in case of an accident;  Challenges of traffic accident investigation and ways to solve it;  Vehicle safety.

Participants: Police officers from 21 provinces and 9 districts in total of 100 participants.

Venue and Date: Training for Western provinces – province; 24th of May, 2018

Target Audience: Traffic police officers of provinces.

Objectives: o To strengthen the capacity of traffic police officers in road safety work. o To train traffic police officers on how to utilize AIS system on the tablet and on the web.

Overview:  Road safety policy;  Traffic accident investigation;  Road safety audit;  Accident information system usage.

Participants: 70 traffic police officers from Khovd, Bayan-Ulgii, Uvs and Govi- Altai provinces and personnel of local authorities.

Certification: Certificate issued on completion.
