No. 929-3244, 927-9702 Loc.131; Cell phone: 09274560042 BARANGAY TANOD, 2 OTHERS ARRESTED IN BOHOL SEARCH A barangay tanod and two others were arrested during the implementation of a search warrant by combined operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bohol on July 12, 2016. PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña identified the suspects as Bernard Amboyon, 39 years old, a barangay tanod of Burgos Street, Poblacion I, Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Ranulfo Borja, alias Dodong, 58; and Jason Mark Delfin, 33. At around 3:30 pm, combined operatives of PDEA Regional Office 7 (PDEA RO7) Bohol under Director Ronald Allan DG Ricardo and Metro Cebu Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) conducted the lawful search in Amboyon’s house in Poblacion I, Tagbilaran City, Bohol which resulted in the arrest of the trio. Seized inside were 15 plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing more or less 15 grams, with an estimated market value of P165,000, three open transparent sachets containing traces of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, one cal. 45 Colt MK IV pistol, one cal. 22 Beretta pistol, one cal. 38 revolver loaded with five pieces of live ammunition, one cal. 38 revolver loaded with two pieces of live ammunition, one cal. 22 revolver, five pieces of magazine for cal. 45 pistol, one magazine for cal. 22 pistol, 15 pieces of live ammunition for cal. 45 and 20 pieces of live ammunition for cal. 22. When frisked, Amboyon yielded two more sachets of shabu and one improvised tooter, while two sachets of shabu and two pieces of live ammunition for cal. 38 were confiscated from Delfin. Amboyon, Delfin and Borja will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. An additional charged for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act) will also be filed in court against them. # # # .
