Scope of Work In an effort to stabilize the mine, the HistoriCorps team will: • Repair the main support posts and braces • Tighten structural framing connections & replace missing wall planks on ore bin • Construct the framed enclosure on the open bin top, sheath and roof the framed structure • Construct framed enclosure (roof), which is the trestle, log cross ties, and railing that accessed the bin.

Seventy-five years of exposure has deteriorated the decorative log-end treatments to the point of necessitating crown replacement. Additional work will include reroofing the building in cedar shingles, replacing deteriorated sill logs, and repairing historic windows. Harris Ranch San Juan National Forest July & August 2011

Scope of Work The three structures (cabin, tack-room, and corral) of the Harris Ranch all require immediate preservation treatments to maintain the site’s historical significance and integrity and to prevent the irreplaceable and unavoidable loss of historic fabric.
