WED 09/11 WALK FOR PEACE
September 11th marks the anniversary of Gandhi‘s first act of nonviolence in 1906. Join us to re- member both September 11ths as we walk from the Veteran‘s Memorial in Highland Park to the Gandhi Institute, approx 2.3 miles. While walking, we will learn about over 200 strategies avai- lable for nonviolent political change. Transportation back to Highland Park will be provided.

09/21 - 10/06 GANDHI EXHIBITION
This Gandhi exhibition will feature photos, posters, messages, and artifacts highlighting im- portant mile-stones in Mahatma Gandhi’s life, movements, and accomplishments during which he steadfastly adhere to the principles of Truth, Peace, and Nonviolence.

Join Larsen Engineering president and CEO Ram Shrivastara for a conversation on Gandhi’s commitment to the environment. Long before this issue registered with others, Gandhi advo- cated for and embodied sustainability as a life practice and as a critical aspect of social justice. This conversation will include ways for participants to meaningfully engage with their own en- vironmental concerns and commitments.

Conflict is often presented to us as a negative experience to avoid. But what can we discover about ourselves and others when we approach conflict creatively? Through interactive exercises, discussion, and role plays, this two-hour session focuses on exploring thoughts and people who we associate with conflict.

SAT 9/28 “JAGADAMBA“ A PLAY ABOUT LIFE OF KASTURBA GANDHI „ The play Jagadamba“ is the story of Gandhi‘s wife Kasturba. Kasturba Gandhi had no formal education and yet participated in and led nonviolent struggles in both South Africa and In- dia. She died in prison during WWII. This play tells the story of the Gandhis‘ remarkable lives through her eyes.
