My Perspective Manuel Esquivel, Venezuela, Advanced Writing I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. I do not know what is in- side of people's brains, but I am positive what is in mine. I am not a religious person and I do not go to church on Sunday because I think that the church is inside of us. The Church is just a place where people go to make confession and spend a while in God's house, as many people call it. I believe that God is everywhere and nobody has to go to church to feel close to God. Wherever I am, I think that I can be forgiven if I am really remorseful. I do not believe in religions because they were made by humans. There are no religions in this world; that is what I believe the most. I do not think that anybody can tell me that I must go to church to baptize myself and belong to a religion to be close to God. I do not be- lieve in life after death. Each person is a world of his own who has different ways of believing, so what I wrote is what I believe, and it is the perspective I have of the world.
