Item No. Action

16.1. The Minutes of the Meeting on the 2 March 2015 were approved and signed. 16.2. Matters Arising: None

16.3 RTC/Network – The Secretary had a meeting with Rosa Gallop before the Meeting mainly about the RTC at the Triangle. At the SE Region, Norman Leighton had stated that there was a possibility that the RTC sessions would be cut back to 1 per month and there was a possibility of water polo players could travel to Northampton for a 1 or 2 day course. Rosa outlined the Network programme and was very keen that Sussex Clubs would join a Network (Brighton, Crawley, Hastings, Marlins and Worthing) – only Brighton are not Swim 21 affiliated but they would consider joining within the next 12 months. Each Club’s Executive Committee should be asked if the Water Polo Section could join the Network and the ASA would supply financial support (£1000 each year for 4 years) to develop water polo in the County. The Network Group would set up a committee providing a Development Plan and a Treasurer to manage the Accounts. All the 5 Clubs wanted to join the Network to develop water polo for athletes, officials, volunteers – more qualified coaches, referees and table officials. Discussion then took place about the retention of the 30 week RTC sessions and all agreed that this was the way forward. Hopefully it will be self-funding but there is a possibility with reduced funding from the ASA, there would be shortfall. Tim Fraser was asked to produce a financial plan for the County Executive with the worse scenario possibility. 16.4. Finance The Secretary reported that he had attended the last Management Meetings where the Budget for 2016-17 was discussed. He made the following points: • Sussex ASA gets no money from the ASA. • Swimming subsidises the diving, synchronised swimming and water polo effectively paying for entry fees for the 5 County SE/ Tournaments and entry for Sussex teams to enter the London Winter and Summer Leagues. • At the November meeting, a 2.5% increase in affiliation fees was suggested • The Secretary had submitted a budget for next season but it needed updating. . • It was agreed that each club should pay £180.
