Ms. Kathleen Beck – Admissions Administrative Assistant MBA, of , 1995 Experience: Kathleen was formerly an elementary school teacher at both Orange Grove and J.K. Gourdin elementary schools. Most recently, she has served as a Porter-Gaud substitute teacher.

Ms. Jane Best – Middle School Music M.S. in Music Education, Gettysburg , 2015 Experience: Jane student taught music and choir to K-6 at Camp Hill School District. She has studied abroad in numerous countries and conducted the Gettysburg Catholic Choir.

Ms. Terra Burke – Lower School Faculty & Director of Multicultural Affairs M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration, Georgia Southern 2005 B.S. in Education, Valparaiso, 2000 Experience: Terra has been at Porter-Gaud since 2008 and is returning to the Lower School faculty to teach reading and math as part of the second grade team. She remains an integral part of our diversity efforts.

Mr. Ángel Cazorla - Santos – Lower School Spanish Teacher M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, 2014 B.A. in Spanish Speech Language Pathology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 1995 Experience: Angel hails from Madrid, Spain and has lived in SC for the past three years. Formerly, he has taught Spanish at First Baptist School and Charleston Day School.

Mr. Corey Colman – Extended Day Program Director MBA, Mercer University, 2004 BA in Business, Stetson University, 2000 Experience Corey earned a New Jersey Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Health and Science from Rowan University. He has been teaching courses at Miller Motte Technical College and working as the Student Success Coordinator and Advisor.

Ms. Samantha Fisk – Upper School History M.Ed., High Tech High Graduate School, 2011 M.A. in Secondary Social Studies and History, Emory University, 2002 B.A. in Educational Studies and History, Emory University, 2001 Experience: Samantha comes to us from San Diego, CA and taught at the Urban Discovery Academy and served as the volleyball middle school coach. She has also taught at High Tech High in California and St. Agnes Academy in Memphis, TN.

Ms. Laura Foerster – Administrative Assistant to the Head of School M.Ed., , 1987 B.A. in Sociology, Converse College, 1985 Experience: Laura formerly has served as the Executive Director of The Shepherd Center and fundraised for numerous nonprofits. She most recently has been a top 10 sales employee for Kate Spade New York and lives on Seabrook Island.

Mr. Christopher Greenwell – Upper School History Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies, Sorbonne, 2003 M.Div., Union Theological Seminary, 2001 M.Th., Institut Protestant de Theologie, 2001 B.A. College of William and Mary, 1994 Experience: Christopher comes to us from Roanoke, VA and taught Advanced Placement world history at North Cross School; formerly he has taught at Broadwater Academy and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is married to Emma Greenwell, a new member of PG World Language faculty.

Ms. Emmanuelle Greenwell – Middle/Upper School, French and Latin Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies, Sorbonne, 2003 M.Th., Institut Protestant de Theologie, 2002 M.A., University Montpellier III, 1999 B.A., Lycee Clemenceau, 1995 Experience: Emma formerly taught French at the North Cross School in Roanoke, VA. Prior to that she taught at Broadwater Academy and is married to new history department faculty member, Christopher Greenwell.

Ms. Colleen Jones – Upper School Mathematics MBA, , 2015 B.S. in Mathematics, Vanderbilt University, 2001 Experience: Colleen is transferring from the Porter-Gaud Foundation Office and returning to the Mathematics Department. We are excited to have her back in the classroom.

Ms. Jennifer Lorenz – Director of Strategic Communications B.A. in Journalism, University of North Chapel Hill Experience: Jen most recently worked for as the Director of Advancement Communications. Formerly, she has worked with the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, WGBH Boston, Discovery Channel and the History Channel.

Mr. Jesse Paul – Long-Term Substitute, Upper School Mathematics M.A., Loyola University, 2012 B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science, Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, 2010 Experience: Jesse over the past year has been a mathematics tutor for the Lyceum. Previously, he has worked with Kinderhouse Montessori in San Diego, CA and Mountaintop Montessori in Charlottesville, VA.

Ms. Joanna Reinhold – Part-Time Upper School French B.S. in Biology, Wake Forest University, 2014 Experience: Joanna, a Cum Laude Society graduate of Porter-Gaud, has been working at Veterinary Specialty Care as a Veterinary Technician. She has also been tutoring in math, French, and science in the Lyceum.

Ms. Meredith Sallee – Lower School Faculty M.Ed. in Elementary Education, Lindenwood University, 2005 B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Missouri State University, 2001 Experience: Meredith most recently worked with the Charleston County School District at Jennie Moore Elementary School. Prior to that she lived in McLean, VA where she taught at The Potomac School.

Ms. Meri Stanec – Lower School Science M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education, University of Florida, 2001 M.S. in Botany, University of Florida, 1997 B.S. in Environmental and Plant Biology, Ohio University, 1994 Experience: Meri is transferring from the Middle School Science Department to teach science to first through third grade as a member of the Lower School faculty.

Ms. Jennifer Teller– Lower School Administrative Assistant (long term sub position) M.A. in Education and Human Development, The George Washington University, 2011 B.S. in Advertising, University of Colorado, 2008 Experience: Jen recently taught 5th grade at The Langley School in McLean, Virginia. While at Langley she coached the girls JV softball team.

Ms. Meghan Van Alen – Lower School Faculty B.A. in Elementary Education, University of North Carolina, 1998 Experience: From 2002 to 2005, Meghan was a first grade teacher at Porter-Gaud. In 2001, she was named Teacher of the Year at Ashley Park Elementary School of Math, Science & Technology. She has twins in the Lower School.

Ms. Lisa Ward – Director of Philanthropy J.D., , 2011 B.A. in Public Affairs and Political Science, 2008 Experience: Lisa was the Director of Major and Planned Gifts at Columbia College. She has also worked at Motley Rice and served a Legislative Aide to the South Carolina State House.
