PERSONAL DATA Jeffrey Gerard Jackson was born on May 1, 1961 in New York, N.Y. He at- tended St. Francis Prep, graduating in 1979. He and his wife, Carolyn, have three children: Xavier, Jenai and Taylor.

EDUCATION He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial and labor relations at Cornell in 1984.

PLAYING EXPERIENCE He served as a student assistant coach at his alma mater, Cornell, from 1983- 85. He helped lead the junior varsity squad to records of 16-10 and 14-12.

AT FURMAN Jackson is in his second season as head coach at Furman. He was named head coach of the Paladins on April 24, 2006.

PREVIOUS COACHING EXPERIENCE After spending two years as a student assistant coach at Cornell, Jackson was a graduate assistant at Southern California in 1985-86. He served as an assistant at St. Bonaventure from 1986-89 and worked as an assistant at Colo- rado State for three years (1989-92) where the Rams posted a 50-40 mark. He was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Stanford for coach Mike Montgomery from 1992-96. The Cardinal finished with a 65-51 mark during his tenure. Jackson served a three-year stint as head coach at New Hampshire from 1996-99. The Wildcats posted a 21-60 record. For the past seven years, All-Time Furman Coaches he was an assistant to coach Kevin Stallings at Vanderbilt. The Commodores Coach Seasons Years W L Pct. were 121-96 during that span.
