We Had a Ball at the 2019 Spring Benefit! More than 400 members of the Dwight community gathered for the 2019 Spring Benefit in the dazzling Ziegfeld Ballroom in midtown Manhattan in support of The Dwight School Foundation. The theme of this year’s event — “The Future Is Now” — celebrated Dwight’s innovative approach to preparing students to be the next generation of global leaders, innovators, and visionaries. The festive evening, which included cocktails, dinner, dancing, a fabulous auction, and a live fundraising appeal, raised critical funds for student financial aid, faculty professional development, and Spark Tank innovation grants. We heard from Chris Beddows, former Associate Head of Lower School in New York who is now the Head of Upper School in London, about his passion for the IB and what makes a Dwight world-class education special. Three students also took to the stage: Isolde Hatgis-Kessell ’20 and Marcello Massone ’19 shared their unique journeys at Dwight and how our school ignited their sparks of genius; and Kai Kelly ’20 sang a beautiful rendition of “The Greatest Love of All.” Thank you to our Benefit Co-Chairs Darly Corniel and Louise Tonkin and the Committee — along with our donors, guests, and volunteers — for joining us and for your generosity!
