How To Get There: Ferries to Governors Island leave from the Battery Maritime Building* (directions below), located at 10 South Street, adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

Ferry: The ferry to Governors Island is free. To ensure you make the curtain, you must take a boat leaving at least one hour before the start of the performance. Please plan to arrive at the ferry terminal no later than 15 minutes before ferry departure, to allow time for bag check and to board the boat. Bags will be checked by security personnel prior to boarding the ferry. Pets, alcohol, controlled substances, weapons or explosives are not permitted on Governors Island.

Venue Info: The venue is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the ferry dock. Ticket holders will be escorted from the ferry dock to the venue, walking outside along the western waterfront of Governors Island. Please dress according to that day’s weather forecast. The performances will be held in an air-conditioned industrial warehouse. Restrooms will be located at the venue.

Box Office: You may pick up your will-call tickets at the venue. Please bring your picture ID. You may also purchase tickets at the venue on Governors Island for day-of performances of Teorema if available. Advance tickets for Teorema may be purchased at LincolnCenterFestival.org, 212.721.6500, or the Avery Fisher Hall Box Office (Broadway at 65th Street).

Wait List: For The Demons, there is a wait list online that you may add your name to here, http://new.lincolncenter.org/live/index.php/the-demons-waitlist-form For sold out performances of Teorema, people wishing to be on the wait line should speak to a Lincoln Center representative at the Battery Maritime Building before they board the ferry to Governors Island.

Running Times and Intermission Information: The Demons is 12 hours long, with 4 fifteen-minute intermissions as well as 2 one-hour-long meal breaks. Latecomers will be seated at the first intermission, occurring at approximately 12:30pm. Teorema is 1 hour and 45 minutes long with no intermission and there is strictly no late seating.

Food and Drink: For The Demons ticket holders, lunch and dinner are included in the price of the ticket. There will be one hour breaks for both lunch and dinner. Vegetarian option will be available. There will be no concessions available for Teorema.

Bus: M1 (weekdays only), M6, M9 and M15

Car: There is no public parking at the Governors Island ferry building. There is garage parking across the street from the Battery Maritime Building for a fee.

Driving from the East Side: Take the FDR Drive to Exit 1, South Ferry. As you exit, stay in the left lane and turn left around the (left) u-turn at the end of the street in front of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The Battery Maritime Building is the historic ferry terminal just to the northeast of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

Driving from the West Side: Take the West Side Highway around the tip of Lower Manhattan and go through the Battery Underpass. When you emerge from the Underpass, take the first exit, Exit 1, Staten Island Ferry. Stay left, and make a left-hand u-turn onto South Street going south. Stay to your left and make the (left) u-turn at the end of the street in front of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The Battery Maritime Building is the historic ferry terminal just to the northeast of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

Driving Local Streets: Take Broadway south onto Whitehall Street. Turn left onto Water Street. Go one block and turn right onto Broad Street. Go one block and turn right onto South Street. Go to the left lane, and make the (left) u-turn at the end of the street in front of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The Battery Maritime Building is the historic ferry terminal just to the northeast of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

Departure Information: Audiences may ride a free ferry back to Manhattan after the end of the performance. Audiences for Teorema’s matinee performance on July 17 are welcome to stay on Governors Island after the performance and return on a public ferry at their leisure.
