EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA (EB) Since 1996, the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation has provided consistent grants to the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF). Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a rare, inherited, blistering skin disease that affects all ethnic and racial groups. Nu Skin donates 25 cents from the sale of each Epoch® product to the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation, which helps to fund these grants.
GREATER CHINA CHILDREN’S HEART FUND Since 2008, the Greater China Children’s Heart Fund has provided lifesaving support to children suffering from pediatric congenital heart disease. In Greater China, between 180,000 and 220,000 additional cases of congenital heart disease in children are reported each year; two thirds of these children cannot get timely treatment due to the families’ inability to pay for the heart surgery. In 2013, the Greater China Children’s Heart Fund MA, CHINA provided more than 1,100 procedures. SOUTHEAST ASIA CHILDREN’S HEART FUND The Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund provides funds for lifesaving corrective heart surgeries for underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart disease. The Fund has been able to continue its efforts through generous donations. In fact, in 2013, a total of 821 children received heart surgeries— equaling more than two children’s lives saved every day of the year. Since 1998, the Heart Fund has provided grants to help more than 5,800 children receive heart surgeries. As of the end of 2013, more than 6,836 sales leaders in Southeast Asia have committed to donating one percent of their monthly commissions to the Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund.
