RABIES 3 YEAR 3 Injectable YEAR RABIES 3 YEAR Injectable This product has been shown to be effective for the of healthy dogs, cats and ferrets 12 weeks of age or older against rabies. Duration of immunity of at least 1 year has been demonstrated in ferrets and at least 3 years in dogs and cats after repeat dose. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov. The vaccine is prepared from -culture-grown, chemically inactivated . The seed virus is a highly immunogenic, fxed strain of rabies virus which originated from ’s original isolate in 1882. The inactivated virus is formulated with a highly purified adjuvant and is packaged in liquid form. Directions: Shake well. Administer a single 1-mL dose subcutaneously. Dogs may be vaccinated intramuscularly or subcutaneously. A repeat dose should be administered 1 year later. Precautions: Store at 2°–8°C. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures may adversely affect potency. Do not freeze. Sterilized syringes and needles should be used to administer this vaccine. Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. As with many , anaphylaxis may occur after use. Initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy. Do not mix with other products. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
