CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION 1.1 Research Objective Overview PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT.KAI) PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is a State-Owned Enterprises which provide, organize, and manage the rail freight services in Indonesia. PT KAI is divided into three periods, namely the colonial period, as a public service institution, and as jasa. Since then three other companies to invest in building railway lines inside and outside Java. Companies involved in the railway industry is Staat Spoorwegen colonial era, Verenigde Spoorwegenbedrifj and Deli Spoorwegen Maatscappij. ( PT KAI Persero,2014) The period of company has oriented to public service began in the early days of the independence of Indonesia. On May 25, based on Government Regulation No. 22 In 1963, the government of the Republic of Indonesia established the State Railway Company (PNKA). On 15 September 1997 based on Government Regulation No. 61 In 1971, the Company changed to PNKA Railway Bureau (PJKA). With its status as a State Enterprise and Bureau Company, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) when it operates to serve the community with funds from government subsidies. ( PT KAI Persero,2014) The new round of management of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) started when PJKA converted into a Public Company Railways (Perumka) based on Government Regulation No. -

BAB I PENDAHULUAN I.1 Latar Belakang Pada dasarnya masyarakat memiliki kencenderungan memiliki sifat mobilitas atau sering berpindah pindah tempat dalam kurung waktu yang sikat, contohnya saja yang sering kita temui banyak orang yang miliki tempat kerja dengan tempat tinggalnya berjarak cukup jauh, oleh karna itu masyarakat memerlukan kendaraan untuk mempermudah menjalankan segala aktivitas setiap harinya. Meski kini sudah banyak yang menggunakan kendaraan pribadi dalam melakukan aktivitas namun tidak sedikit juga masyarakat yang masih menggunakan transportasi umum. Tentunya tidak hanya satu transportasi umum yang ditawarkan pemerintah untuk bisa digunakan masyarakat contohnya seperti Angkutan Kota (angkot), Bus, dan juga Kerta Api. Kereta api merupakan model transportasi darat berbasis jalan rel yang efesien dan efektif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan daya angkutnya baik berupa manusia ataupun barang yang lebih besar dengan model transportasi lainnya. Begitu juga dengan konsumsi bahan bakar kereta api yang relatif lebih hemat dibandingkan dengan model transportasi darat lainnya. Dengan kelebihan – kelebihan tersebut, perkereta apian di Indonesia diharapkan lebih dimanfaatakan sebagai salah satu alternatif solusi dalam menyelesaikan kemacetan khususnya di Ibukota Jakarta. Di Indonesia, peran dari kereta api dirasakan masih kurang terasa. Kereta Api Commuter Jabodetabek atau yang biasa disebut juga Commuter Line, merupakan jalur kereta rel listrik yang dioprasikan oleh PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek, anak perusahaan dari PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI). Kehadiran PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek dalam industri jasa angkutan KA Commuter bukanlah kehadiran yang tiba – tiba, tetapi merupakan proses pemikiran dan persiapan yang cukup panjang. Di awali dengan pembentukan Divisi Angkutan Perkotaan jabodetabek oleh induknya PT Kereta Api (persero), yang memisahkan dirinya dari saudara tuanya PT Kereta Api (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta. -

Many constraints such as political, finan- cial, as well as bureaucratic make the project delayed for a long time. When the plan scheduled to be implemented in a couple years ago, some protests arise. Communities and some interest group against. The fears of income decline and loss of livelihood become their main concerns which in- duce protests before the project really started. Based on this experience, this paper tries to reveal social impacts of transport development in case MRT Jakarta. Now the project construction is being carried out. Social impact as well as the project construction continues. This study investigate how social impact of railway project was happened. Literatures and documents analysis was used to analyze this study. The result of the study were the MRT Jakarta project inevitably have negative and positive impacts both for society and environment. But with the start of the project after a long delay, it gives hope to the community for better transportation. It is a positive impact before the project was completed. Community engagement in a meeting or discusssion should more be em- phasized in the process in order to minimize the conflicts of interest. -

PROFIL MEDIA : COMMUTERLINE KA Commuter Jabodetabek (atau disebut juga KRL Commuter Line, dulu dikenal sebagai KRL Jabotabek) adalah jalur kereta rel listrik yang dioperasikan oleh PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ), anak perusahaan dari PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PTKA). KRL telah beroperasi di wilayah Jakarta sejak tahun 1976. PT KCJ memulai proyek modernisasi angkutan KRL pada tahun 2011, dengan menyederhanakan rute yang ada menjadi 5 rute utama, penghapusan KRL ekspress, penerapan gerbong khusus wanita, dan mengubah nama KRL ekonomi-AC menjadi Kereta Commuter, perubahan sistem tarif dan penerapan sistem tiket elektronik COMMET (Commuter Electronic Ticketing). Seiring dengan berkembangnya tuntutan masyarakat Jabodetabek akan transportasi yang efektif dan dapat diandalkan, Kereta Rel Listrik (KRL) telah menjadi primadona transportasi masyarakat Jakarta dan sekitarnya dalam menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari. Jumlah penumpang KRL terus tumbuh dengan pesat. Saat ini telah mencapai 800 ribu penumpang perhari. November. 2020 Japan-ASEAN Connectivity Initiative MOFA Japan has supported ASEAN's efforts to strengthen connectivity in order to narrow the gaps in the ASEAN region and further facilitate the integration of ASEAN community based on the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 and Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Masterplan. Japan will continue to provide support in this field. I (Feb. 2016), PP 110-116 www.iosrjournals.org Train Public Transportion Service Needs In Developing Country (Case Stydy In Jakarta, Indonesia) Lina Aryani1, Diana Triwardhani2 1,2Economic Faculty, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine service quality and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty of PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek. The population of this study are the passangers of KRL Commuter Jabodetabek. The research method using purposive sampling method. Source of data used is primary data obtained using a questionnaire. This research analysis techniques using multiple regression analysis technique to measure the impact of service quality (X1) and customer satisfaction (X2) on customer loyalty (Y). Data processing in this study aided by Stastitical program for Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 19. The result on partial test shows no impact on service quality or costumer satisfaction on costumer loyalty, while durinng simultaneous test shows that service quality and costumer statisfaction have inluence on costumer loyalty.
