We want your feedback to help Mary Queen of Peace become an amazing parish!

The information we received from the 2019 survey was very beneficial to us and helped us focus our efforts to become a more amazing parish! Your responses affirmed to us the importance of having good music, homilies and hospitality at all of our Masses. Your feedback revealed music as a special area of concern and led to several changes, including hiring additional musicians. We also ex- tended hospitality to all our weekend Masses, added resources to clear icy sidewalks and increased the lighting in the church vestibule.

Please take a moment to check your Flock Notes for a survey about our weekend Masses. We'd like to learn what is better and what still CYCLEBAR Creve Coeur is teaming with MQP Boy needs work. Your response to our survey is a great help to the parish Scout JP Torack to offer a fun indoor riding experience staff as we set priorities for 2020. We'll be taking responses for this while raising funds for his Eagle Scout project: the survey through Monday, Feb. 10 construction of a monarch waystation. We meet Frb. 22 at noon. Bring a change of clothes and snacks and drinks will be served afterwards! $25 donation

MARY QUEEN OF PEACE OUT OF THE MESS……. From Melissa Hunter, Director of Faith Formation

Let me explain what happened here.

I read, “You are the salt of the earth,” and “You are the light of the world,” and I immediately thought of 2002, which had those words as its theme. Pope Saint John Paul II chose that theme, and so I wanted to share with you my favorite quote of his from the event. Google quickly helped me see that the quote I love is from a DIFFERENT World Youth Day…

However, it is beautiful, so I still offer it (with no real connection to this week’s ) for your reflection!

“It is Jesus in fact that you seek when you dream of happiness; he is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; he is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is he who provokes you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is he who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is he who reads in your hearts your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle. It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be grounded down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal.” — Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day 2000

Melissa Hunter serves as the Director of Faith Formation at MQP. She spends most days trying to sort through the mess of her life so she can see Jesus. You can reach her via email at [email protected]
