Every year, we celebrate the exceptional achievements of our students and alumni. This was still the case in 2020 despite the pandemic and the enforced absence of an awards ceremony. The high calibre of winners is demonstrated below with our 2019 MBA student award winners, Tim O’Donovan and Joe Finucane, and our 2020 Alumni of the Year Achievement Award recipient Maggie Miller.

The course was instrumental in helping my career progression by giving me the skills and confidence to take on new responsibilities and initiatives. This resulted in two new promotions – one during, and then immediately after, my studies. I would certainly recommend the course as it was not only academically rewarding and rigorous, it was really interesting too! The quality of tutors, content, resources, and in-person events all led to an excellent learning experience. Tim O’Donovan MBA Student of the Year 2019, IT Manager

My MBA studies have had a profound impact on my career and I have been promoted twice since graduating. This would not have been possible in this time frame without the MBA. Not just the letters MBA but the actual learning and confidence that it gives you is worth so much more. Having these tools has given me huge confidence in my approach to projects and challenges. It was a combination of the hardest and best thing I have ever done. Joe Finucane MBA Dissertation of the Year 2019, Chief Technology Officer, CACI Ltd

I owe the OU a huge debt of gratitude for my success. Having left full-time education at 18, the OU MBA gave me the knowledge and confidence to build my career in multinational organisations in the UK and the US. Receiving this award makes me even more grateful to the incredible staff and academics of this organisation that I’m so proud to be associated with.
