At both Grazie Ristoranti you will find small production hand-crafted that have been carefully selected to pair with our signature dishes.

This list has been put together with great care with the mission to provide our guests at Grazie with the finest selection of Italian wines.

Every other year, for the last 26 years, we have taken most of the Grazie Ristoranti family to Italia to immerse them in the culture of and food. We have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with wonderful families. Almost all of the wines selected on our wine list are here because of the direct relationships we have established with the . We will be hap- py to share with you insight into the production of these wines,. So please feel free to ask us to share a story or two about the people, their beautiful and, of course, their remarkable wines.

We do have a limited selection of our local Pacific Northwest and California wines, as well.

We are honored to have this opportunity to present these wines to you and to share our passion with each and every one of you who dine with us at Grazie.

Castello di Neive ’Santo Stefano’ Barbera d’Alba DOC (Piemonte) 42 The Barbera grapes for this wine come from the famed Santo Stefano which initially caused critics to believe Italo Stupino was crazy as this vineyard is typically reserved for the hallowed Nebbio- lo. Giuseppe Cortese Dolcetto d’Alba DOC (Piemonte) 42 This wine is made from 100% Dolcetto from 25-30 year old vines in the Trifolera zone, which is named after the prized white truffles that can be found in the area. Zenato della Valpolicella Classico DOCG (Veneto) 42/89 Made from grapes that have been dried for up to 5 months, this is a big rich wine that is unique to this region of the world. Intoxicating aromas of dried black cherries, cassis, truffles, and chocolate, with a silky, luscious, and complex lingering finish. Zenato ‘Ripassa’ Valpolicella Superiore DOC (Veneto) 28/49 This wine is a blend of local varieties of Corvina, Rondinella, and Oseleta. Secondo Marco Valpolicella Classico Ripasso DOC (Veneto) 49 This Ripasso is a medium-bodied wine with plenty of ripe and dried, red-fruit flavors accented by spice and floral notes. The wine is rich and textural on the palate.. Sansonina Merlot Veronese IGT (Veneto) 58 Rich aromatics of crushed black cherries, cocoa, dried herbs, and a touch of balsam . Broad, velvety, and mouth-filling on the palate. Maculan ’Palazzotto’ Cabernet Sauvignon Breganze DOC (Veneto) 49 From 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French barriques for one year. The wine has notes of dark ber- ries, anise, black pepper and just a touch of Mediterranean herbs. RUFINA Rufina is perhaps the best known of the seven subzones with a continental climate and high altitude. Rufina wines are well-structured and, at their best, rival the top wines from Chianti’s Classico zone.

Poggio Scalette Chianti Classico DOCG (Toscana) 38 Bright ruby red in color, a lively bouquet of red fruits and blackberries complement undertones of ripe cherries and pomegranate seeds. On the palate, the wine is fresh and fruit-forward with silky tannins that evolve throughout the finish.

CASTELLINA IN CHIANTI Robust wines with bright red berry fruits and a stony quality. Castellare Chianti Classico DOCG (Toscana) 21/42 A bright ruby red in color, this Chianti Classico shows well-integrated aromas of tart red cherries, tobacco, sunbaked earth, and a hint of cedar spice. On the palate, firm structure and refreshing acidity make it a very versatile food wine.

Castello di Bossi ’Berardo’ Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG (Toscana) 49 With a history dating back to the 9th century AD, the Castello di Bossi estate has evolved with the times. While remaining true to the terroir of Chianti. This Riserva has a luminous ruby red color, ap- pealing aromas of dark cherries, plums, vanilla and hints of dark chocolate. Full bodied but smooth with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Castello di Bossi Chianti Classico DOCG (Toscana) 19/42 A true Chianti Classico from the south close to Siena. This Chianti Classico offers aromas of ripe cherries and red plums, with subtle notes of toasted vanilla beans and purple flowers. Brunello di Montalcino Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (Toscana) 50/99

Brunello is considered among Italy’s top-quality wines. Made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso from estate owned vineyards. It is rich, full bodied and velvety. Truly one of the top three or four wines of Italy. Period! San Polo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (Toscana) 109 San Polo Brunello offers classic aromas of violets, small red berries, and more subtle notes of coffee and tobacco. It is warm and full-bodied on the palate, with ripe, firm tannins balanced by a lively acid- ity, and the flavors unfold into a long, well-rounded finish. Central Italy Vini Rossi San Polo Rosso di Montalcino DOC (Toscana) 48 The grapes for this Rosso di Montalcino are obtained from the same noble parcels as those used for Brunello, but the requirements for aging and maximum yields are less stringent. Rosso di Montalcino wine is more immediately accessible in its youth. Valdipiatta Vino Nobile di DOCG (Toscana) 48 Located near the hillside town of Montepulciano near the city of Siena, this stunning wine is deep ruby red with intense aromas of dark berries, black cherries, spice, and tobacco. Aged in French and Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months. Poliziano Rosso di Montepulciano DOC (Toscana) 32 A blend of Sangiovese with approximately 1/5 Merlot. This full-bodied red is supple and fruity, showcas- ing the rich and vibrant Sangiovese fruit that didn’t quite make it into the bottling of Vino Nobile.

Fattoria Le Pupille Morellino di Scansano DOCG (Toscana) 37 The local name for the Sangiovese grape, the word Morellino is believed to take its name from the color of the Maremma horse known as “morello,” (brown) that were once used to pull carriages in the Scansano area. Blended with Sangiovese, Nera, and Alicante. Tua Rita ‘Rosso dei Notri’ Toscana IGT (Toscana) 42 This is located in Suvereto, a small medieval town in the province of Livorno, on the Tuscan coast. A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has aromas of black fruits, plums, and notes of cocoa, and sweet spice. The wine is smooth, with silky tannins. Castellare ‘I Sodi di San Niccolò’ Toscana IGT (Toscana) 99 A blend of 85% Sangioveto, 15% Malvasia Nera created in the early 1980s to demonstrate that native grapes could produce a wine with all the power and grace of a Super Tuscan. Full-bodied, with firm yet fine grained tannins. A rich and elegant wine that offers aromas of ripe cherries, dark berries, and cur- rants which are complemented by notes of vanilla, leather, and cedar. Altesino Rosso Toscana IGT (Toscana) 42 Made from a blend of 80% Sangiovese and a 20% blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has aromas of ripe berries and forest floor fruits. Tenimenti d’Alessandro ‘Borgo’ Syrah Cortona DOC (Toscana) 35 This winery is the pioneering winery for Rhone-style wines in Cortona. This deeply colored has aromas of blackberries, aniseed, and balsam. On the palate, the wine is juicy with supple tannins and a lingering spicy finish. Castellucio ‘Le More’ Sangiovese di Romagna DOC (Emilia-Romagna) 32 Owned by the renowned oenologist Vittorio Fiore, located in a part of Emilia Romagna that was once part of , this wine “Le More” refers to the blackberry character of this deep and lively Sangio- vese di Romagna. Valle Reale ‘Vigneto di Popoli’ Montepulciano d’ DOC (Abruzzo) 37 This estate is very unique in that it is inside The Gran Sasso National Park of Italy. Therefore they are obligated to practice Organic farming in which they have become USDA Certified Organic farmers. This wine has silky tannins and layers of dark berry fruit and spices. Full-bodied and firm yet supple. Di Majo Norante ‘Ramitello’ Biferno Rosso DOC (Molise) 35 This wine is made from a selection of the best Montepulciano and grapes grown in the Ramitello vineyard in the region of Molise on the Adriatic side of Italy. Rich and velvety with a long and lasting intriguing finish. Lungarotti 'Rubesco' Rosso Torgiano DOC () 42 Crushed raspberry and violet flavors are layered with notes of spice and orange zest and light, sculpted tannins in this balanced, medium-bodied red.
