Sub : Proposal for unit wise distribution of entire sanctioned posts of Howrah Police Commissionerate.

Ref. : His Office Memo. No. 967-Org dated 03.07.2017.

The undersigned is directed to refer to his Memo. No. 967/Org dated 03.07.2017 and to say that the proposal for unit wise distribution of entire sanctioned posts of Howrah Police Commissionerate was under active consideration of the Government for some time past.

Now, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor, after careful consideration of the matter, has been pleased to accord sanction to the unit wise distribution of entire sanctioned posts of Howrah Police Commissionerate as proposed in Apendix-13 of the above mentioned memo provided that such distribution of sanctioned posts in each unit will not exceed the lmits as mentioned in Home (Police) Department’s Rule vide No. 4672-PL dated 05.12.2018.

The Principal Accountant General (A & E), West Bengal is being informed.

NOTIFICATION

In terms of Notification No. 45/Addl. Secy./DB/BMC/6M-8/2014 dated 07.08.2014 of Home & Hill Affairs Department, the system of awardinig the following Police Medals to the IPS Officers of West Bengal Cadre has been introduced :

i) Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Outstanding Service ii) Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Commendable Service

Now, after completing necessary procedure as detailed in the aforesaid notification, read with Notification No. 665/HSN/2015 dated 11.08.2015, the Governor is pleased to select the following officers of for conferment of the two Medals for the year 2018 as detaled below :

Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Outstanding Service

1. Shri Virendra, IPS, DG & IGP, West Bengal 2. Shri Jawed Shamim, IPS, Addl. CP-II, 3. Shri Ajay Kumar Nand, IPS, Director Security, West Bengal in the rank of IGP

Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Commendable Service

1. Shri Gaurav Sharma, IPS, SP Howrah (Rural) District 2. Shri Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedu, SP 3. Shri Kunal Aggarwal, IPS, SP, Birbhum 4. Smt. Neeloo Sherpa (Chakaraborty), IPS, D.C.D.D.(II), KP 5. Shri Suman Chattopadhyay, Inspector-in-Charge, Kaliachak P.S., Malda 6. Shri K.K. Dwivedi, Inspector, SSU, Kolkata Police 7. Shri Swarup Goswami, ASI, SSU, Kolkata Police.

The Medals will be conferred on the officers noted above on the 15th August, 2018 on the occasion of Independence Day.

The names of the awardees shall be published in the Gazette and Kolkata Police Gazette in due course.

Sub : Approval for shifting of Office-Cum-residence of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) Baruipur from Kasba to Ghatakpukur Bazar, Mouza- Gobindapur, under Bhangore Police Station in the Baruipur Police District.

Sir, With reference to your Memo. No. 381/ORG dated 12.03.2018 on the above noted subject I am directed to say that Governor has been pleased to approve the proposal for shifting of Office-Cum-residence of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) Baruipur to a hired accommodation @ monthly rent of Rs. 16,603/- + Rs. 15,932/- total Rs. 32,535/- (thirty two thousand five hundred and thirty five only).

2. I am also directed to request you to treat the above arrangement only as a temporary measure and thus initiate a fresh proposal for construction of Office-Cum-residence of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) Baruipur Police District at Bhagore, immediately after identifying suitable land for this purpose.

3. The charge will be met from the grant under the head “2055-00-109-001-14-00-V” under Demand No. 68.

4. The Superintendent of Police, Baruipur Police District has been authorised to act as Drawing and Disbursing Officer for the purpose.

5. This order issues with the approval of Principal Secretary & Home Secretary of this Department.

6. The Principal Accountant General (A & E), West Bengal & the Principal Accountant General (Audit), West Bengal is being informed.

For example, a cyber cafe registered in Jhargram may have registration number as WB270001 and a cyber cafe registered in Purba Burdwan (erstwhile Burdwan) may have registration number as WB070001.

This notification takes immediate effect.
