Hillsdale College Hosts Lecture From Leonard Leo, Executive Vice President of The Federalist Society
On Wednesday, April 4 at 8 p.m. EDT, Hillsdale College will host a public lecture from Leonard Leo, executive vice president of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy. The lecture will be held in Phillips Auditorium on campus.
Leo is the executive vice president of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy, which works to promote constitutional operation of the judicial branch of government and upholds traditional values and individual liberty. Leo served as an advisor to President Donald Trump on the recent appointment of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, aiding in his confirmation and transition process. He previously served as chairman of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom under President George W. Bush, and was the Catholic strategist for the Bush-Cheney campaign. Additionally, he was a delegate to the UN Council and UN Commission on Human Rights under Pres. Bush. Leo and the Federalist Society’s other founders received the 2009 Bradley Prize for their work to further the ideals of freedom and rule of law.
