The EUROSAF Club Sailing European Championship 2019 will host among the best European sailors representing their sailing clubs. The so-called umpired fleet racing with 6 identical keel boats is intense sailing with plenty of emotion, combined with fast decision making by superb crews. We will see different tactical strategies and least but not last, grand sailing!
Eligibility
Up to 18 affiliated clubs of EUROSAF member nations in good financial standing with EUROSAF will be invited to enter a team in the EUROSAF Club Sailing European Cham- pionship 2019.
One invitation will be issued to the winner of the 2018 EUROSAF Club Sailing European Championship.
One wild card invitation for a team of the host nation may be issued by the OA.
For the remaining spots 3 teams from a EUROSAF member nation may apply for an invitation.
If fewer than 18 eligible teams apply for an invitation by 31 March 2019, the OA may invite further teams for the remaining spots at its own discretion.
To remain eligible a team shall (a) confirm its participation online and register the entire crew with at least 4 but not more than 5 crew members by entirely completing the crew list online on http://registration.europeanchampionship.club by no later than 1 May 2019, (b) pay the entry fee by no later than 1 May 2019, (c) pay the damage deposit by no later than 21 May 2019
Registration and Fee
The registration shall be done online via http://sailing.europeanchampionship.club
The fee amounts to € 900.
It includes: - Practise sailing on 21 May and aperitif after the opening ceremony - Sailors dinner on May 23 - Price Ceremony with traditional dinner on May 25
3 Organising Club of the Europeans
The event will be organised by Yacht Club Locarno (YCLO), Switzerland, under the supervi- sion of Eurosaf. YCLO is well known as organiser of national and international regattas as for example events for the Swiss Sailing League. - 25years - 2019 1994 www.yclo.ch

The race committee manages the sailing course thanks to a easy-to-use, reliable robotic buoy system. The buoys Follow the right course from Roboboj® drive autonomously to their defined destination and keep their position in- dependently within a circle of max. 3 meters. Quick change of position possible due to changing wind conditions. Easier decision making for a new course setting. Environmentally conscious and cost efficient. No gasoline. The buoys are powered by 2 electric motors that are fed by rechargeable batteries. Once loaded, the batteries work up to 24 hours under constant use. European Sailing Club Champion and crew exchange platform
The format of the regatta is, as used in the national sailing leagues, umpired fleet racing / Adden- dum Q. The winning club will be granted the title of “European Sailing Club Champion”. The racing boats are J70’s. The crew exchange platform near the race field is a huge Cata- maran (with place for about 150 persons) on which the teams can relax while waiting for the exchange.
