The event was hosted by Keep Vinton Beautiful and sponsored by Bridgestone’s One Team One Planet program. This program focuses on three objectives: to be in harmony with nature, to value natural resources, and to reduce our CO2 and other significant emissions. Bridgestone’s main focus is to maintain a healthy environment for today’s world and for future generations. Bridgestone provided the trailer in which the tires were loaded onto and also proper disposal of the used tires at no cost to the village. The purpose of this event was not only to reduce the number of used tires in the community, but also to diminish the risk and amount of mosquitoes for the coming summer months.
