455 Altered 1887 N172 Jim O’Rourque, NY, Old Judge card and 1874 Harper’s Weekly engraving of his Boston Champions team.

456 31 in. long pine board cut in shape of an oversized bat, faintly signed Babe H. Ruth, and separately inscribed “, October 7, 1926. Cardinals vs. Yankee – Babe made 3 Home Runs this day. Also Broke Nine World’s Records. He Did Not Use This Bat.” Separately marked in large script, “ – King of the Hissing (sp. ?) Swatters.” The “swatter” is accompanied by a 34 ½ in. bat-shaped gourd with indistinctly inscribed

panels, one with a possible faint Babe Ruth signature, as well as a family letter showing descent of both items from the original owner, Cincinnati area baseball lover and leader and Master of Ceremonies at the Monday, April 13 (1932) third annual dinner of the K.I.O. Semi-Pro Baseball League at the Hotel Metropole.
