Andrea Porta Graduates with the Highest Honors at Scuola Di Musica Nicolò Paganini in Genova in 1998 with Carmen Vilalta and Then with Daniela Aimale and Sherman Lowe Saverio Clemente Andrea De Amici Luca Targetti Andrea Porta graduates with the highest honors at Scuola di Musica Nicolò Paganini in Genova in 1998 with Carmen Vilalta and then with Daniela Aimale and Sherman Lowe. Now he’s studying with the baritone Carlo Meliciani. He wins a lot of International competitions, among the others: the first prize at Concorso Di Stefano (Trapani 1999), the third prize at Concorso Zandonai (Riva del Garda 2001), special prize Nicola Rossi Lemeni at Concorso Masini (Reggio Emilia 2001) and a special prize at Belvedere Competition (Vienna 2001). In 1999 he debuts as Mustafà in L’Italiana in Algeri in Trapani, choosing the brilliant repertoire thanks to a particularly strong theatricality. Among his most successful roles: Dulcamara, Don Magnifico, Don Bartolo, Baron Trombonok, Schaunard, Falstaff, Figaro, Malatesta.     S T E F A N O L A C OLLA – Tenor One of the most valued tenors in the international opera scene, Stefano La Colla was born in Turin in a Sicilian family, then he studied and graduated from the Conservatory “Pietro Mascagni” in Livorno. He continued his studies with Luciana Serra and Carlo Meliciani and he took part in several masterclasses, also by Magda Olivero and by Katia Ricciarelli. He has won the First Prize at Voci Pucciniane competition in Torre del Lago. After the first successes in Italian theatres, he started his international career in 2011, but the turning point was in 2015 with his glamorous debut at Teatro alla Scala as Calaf in Turandot (first event of La Scala for EXPO), under the baton of Riccardo Chailly. Thanks to this great success, in June 2015 he was immediatly invited back to La Scala for Cavalleria Rusticana (Turiddu). He has sung in some of the most prestigious opera houses both in Italy, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Arena di Verona, Sferisterio di Macerata, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and abroad, such as Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper and Staatsoper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, Liceu de Barcelona, De Nationale Opera Amsterdam, La Monnaie Brussels, Den Nordske Opera Oslo, Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Hamburg.     ANDREA BORGHINI baritono Andrea Borghini nasce a Siena dove inizia le sue prime esperienze canore nel coro dei Madrigalisti di Siena. Ha al suo attivo studi di pianoforte e violoncello e si perfeziona in tecnica vocale sotto la guida del Maestro Carlo Meliciani. Nel 2012 appare nella trasmissione “Mettiamoci all’opera” su Rai 1. Finalista in numerosi concorsi lirici, si aggiudica diversi primi premi assoluti. Debutta a San Galgano e San Gimignano come Figaro nel Barbiere di Siviglia ed il baritono solista nei Carmina Burana. Dal Settembre 2012 è membro stabile del junge ensemble della Bayerische Staatsoper a Monaco di Baviera dove canta Schaunard ne La Bohème, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Lorenzo nei Capuleti e Montecchi, oltre a ruoli primari e secondari in Rigoletto, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Les Dialogues des Carmelites, Lucrezia Borgia, Carmen, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Un ballo in maschera. Lavora regolarmente con Yves Abel, Marco Armiliato, Paolo Arrivabeni, Daniele Callegari, Paolo Carignani, Asher Fisch, Zubin Mehta, Kent Nagano, Kirill Petrenko, Omer Welber. Tale, esponenziale crescita del gettito di titoli verdiani è, però, logicamente dovuta anche all’offerta di nuovi supporti tecnologici che, a distanza di più di dieci anni dalle passate celebrazioni, si è di molto diversificata (vedi il Super Audio CD e, nell’ambito dell’audiovisivo, il Blu-ray Disc). Ma non è tutto oro quel- lo che luccica. Lo sforzo delle case discografiche, le ‘minorities’ come le ‘majors’, non è che il disperato tentativo di tenere testa a una crisi del mer- cato discografico dovuta alla libera circolazione e condivisione di mate- riali audiovisivi resa possibile da Internet; crisi da loro cercata di arginare smerciando le registrazioni dei propri cataloghi proprio attraverso questo canale, rendendole disponibili agli internauti melomani con un click. Al momento, l’irreversibilità di questa ‘crisi’ si palesa nella radicalizzazione di quanto già constatato negli anni scorsi dai precedenti titolari di questa rubrica: «l’estinzione della registrazione in studio»1.
