The smaller burner comes with a snuffer but does not have have a lid that can be left in place to keep debris out of the burner. The bio ethanol definitely burns cleaner than the gel cans which is what i had been using previously, no odor at all. The smaller burner comes with a snuffer but does not have have a lid that can be left in place to keep debris out of the burner. As for heat output and burn time I would definitely say this is for ambiance only as the heat wasn't enough to make a noticeable difference in the room, and from full, only burned for about 1. The gel cans seem to last longer but definitely don't look as nice. I will probably keep using gel cans if it's just me hanging out and will probably use the nicer insert when entertaining as the cost of 2 gel cans is about equivalent to 1 L of the ethanol.
