The main activities included training on child protection and assistance, assistance for the voluntary return of unaccompanied children and medical assistance for talibee children. Three days of free medical visits in 7 Mahadras were organized in December. Nearly 550 talibé children and close neighbours of the Mahadras were able to benefit from medical examinations provided by dentists, pediatricians and general practitioners. IOM Mauritania wishes to thank the Kingdom of Sweden for its support throughout this pilot project.
