Coopérative El Emen Berbâré 2014-2017 $85,526 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) 3163-MRT Town/City: Hodh El Gharbi Region Summary: The project funds will be used to install a new irrigation system and fence it to protect it from roaming animals. The Cooperative will set up a borehole extraction system to provide a reliable and constant source of water to the production perimeter. These activities will enable Cooperative members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold and the profit earned by group members.

Ganki Toro Women’s 2014-2018 $138,607 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) Agricultural Cooperative Town/City: 3208-MRT Summary: The project funds will be used to develop 12.2 hectares by installing a new irrigation system and building a fence around it to protect it from roaming animals. This expansion will enable Toro members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold and the profit earned by its members.

Badily 2016-2018 $73,775 Sector: Agro-processing (Balanites Oil) 4269-MRT Town/City: , Summary: The project funds will be used to provide processing equipment for balanites oil production, and provide a revolving fund and technical assistance. Additionally, training in financial and organizational management and literacy will be provided to help the organization improve its capacity and become sustainable. This Project is a collaborative effort with several other institutions including the United Nations Development Program, The Association for the Development and the Promotion of Human Rights and Tooga, a private company.

Diougoudiam 2016-2018 $98,112 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) 4321-MRT Town/City: Selibaby, Guidimakha Region Summary: The project funds will be used to install a new irrigation system and fence to protect it from roaming animals. Members will also benefit from improved equipment for their women’s center for sewing and embroidery activities.

Gole Ko Law 2016-2018 $93,829 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables and Fruit) 4363-MRT Town/City: M’Bagne, Brakna Region Summary: The project funds will be used to redevelop the Cooperative's land, including the renovation of their irrigation system and purchase a pump to supply consistent water from the nearby river. They will construct a fortified fence to protect the field from roaming animals and invest in the establishment of a fruit tree orchard.

Danyal-Teidouma 2016-2018 $76,093 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) 4364-MRT Town/City: , Summary: The project funds will be used to install a new irrigation system and fence it to protect it from roaming animals. Members will also benefit from the purchase of a grain mill as an additional income generating activity. This investment will enable Cooperative members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold and the profit earned by group members by the addition of grain milling activities.

Union des Associations de Gestion 2016-2020 $209,324 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables and Dates) Participative des Oasis de l’Assaba Town/City: , (UAGPOA) Summary: The project funds will be used to rehabilitate the Union’s headquarters and refrigeration units 4481-MRT to ensure preservation and safe storage of its produce. The Union will also purchase a truck to ensure reliable transportation of product from the members to headquarters as well as to regional markets. This investment will enable Union members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold.

Trainings provided with this investment will focus on cooperative organizational and management capacity and farming techniques. This investment will enable Cooperative members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold and the profit earned by its members.

Cooperative Agricole Fede Pinal et 2017-2019 $98,522 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) Bamtare Town/City: Maghama, Gorgol Region 4650-MRT Summary: The project funds will be used to rehabilitate 10 hectares of land and update and expand the exisiting irrigation system. Trainings provided with this investment will focus on cooperative organizational and management capacity and farming techniques. This investment will enable Cooperative members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold and the profit earned by its members.

Union des Cooperatives Agricoles 2017-2019 $98,527 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables) Letihade el Jemhoure Town/City: , Gorgol Region 4668-MRT Summary: The project funds will be used to rehabilitate over 2 hectares of land and update and expand the exisiting irrigation system. Trainings provided with this investment will focus on cooperative organizational and management capacity, microcredit management and farming techniques. This investment will enable Cooperative members to dramatically increase the volume of vegetables sold and the profit earned by its members.

Cooperative Agricole Falokone 2017-2021 $160,895 Sector: Agriculture (Vegetables and Rice) 4678-MRT Town/City: Tekane, Trarza Region Summary: The project funds will be used to rehabilitate eight hectares of land for rice and vegetable production, build a storage facility, acquire rice processing equipment in order to increase the quantity and quality of the rice produced. This investment will enable the Cooperative to increase the volume of vegetables and rice produced and sold which, in turn, will increase its members’ income.
