Browser Requirements

Web Browser Requirements For Workday to run efficiently, the following minimum memory requirements are recommended for desktops. If you are running other software applications while accessing Workday, more memory than the below is required.

User Type Minimum Memory Requirements Administrative users accessing high data volumes in reports or tasks. 2 gigabytes of memory Administrative users frequently running staffing and other business processes. 1 gigabyte of memory

Casual users, such as employees, maintaining their time off or personal data. 512 megabytes of memory

Display Settings For all users to optimally view Workday, please use the following minimum display setting which works for desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.

Other Software Some Workday report features require the following third-party applications.

Supported Web Browsers To provide optimal performance and security for your Workday experience, use the latest commercial versions of the following web browsers. Please note that Workday may not work properly with beta or pre-release versions.

Older web browser versions will continue to work with Workday until the “end-of-life” status is reached. This occurs when the company that owns the web browser no longer provides support or updates for that web browser.

Internet Explorer (IE)—Special Considerations IE 11 is the last version of . It will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support from Microsoft for computers with the following operating systems: , Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

For Internet Explorer 7.x through 10.x, Workday requires the Workday Open Frame add-on. This is supported by Workday through September 2017. If you want to continue to access Workday with IE, please be sure to update to IE 11 before September 2017.

For the latest phone, is currently supported by Workday’s HTML browser application.
