The printer and distributor of the above communications is changing from Atos Origin to TSO. Information will still be produced in the same way in paper format, other than the Rail Directory for Travel Agents which is now an electronic manual only. Other information for travel agents will also be provided in electronic format only. 3 4 Prices for contributing information Per page or article costs for including information in Newsrail Express, Retail Manuals Part One and Two, Rail Directory for Travel Agents Part One and Ticket Examiners Handbook are initially the same as Atos Origin rates. For details of these costs, please check the RSP section of the atoc.org website (www.atoc.org) or ring Andrew Tolley on 020 7841 8119.
5 Separate inserts to be distributed with Newsrail Express If you have any separate inserts (such as merchandisers) to be distributed within the Newsrail Express envelope, please contact Atos Origin or TSO as shown below. They will provide a price (it is related to the weight of the item) and book an insert provided they are contacted at least a week before the date the item needs to be with them. For inserts to editions 300 and 301 contact Jackie Shastri at Atos Origin on 0118 964 1673. For inserts from 302 onwards contact TSO Customer Services on 0870 600 5522.
6 Electronic information supply procedure using the Fares and Retail Publications website This involves information providers contributing information to National Fares Manuals text pages (not fares sections B and C), the RailLinks manual, Newsrail Express, Retail Manual Part Two/Rail Directory for Travel Agents Part One by updating these communications through the website https://frps.tso.co.uk. This procedure for information providers will be going live in the next few weeks as train company information providers complete their training programmes, with NFM and the RailLinks Manual being the first publication. Information on final timescales for this change will be given direct to information providers.
7 atoc.org website Electronic PDF format versions of National Fares Manual text pages, the RailLinks manual, Newsrail Express, the Retail Manual and Ticket Examiners Handbook are available in the Retail section of the atoc.org website. This section is password controlled with password details held by train company retail managers.

It has been brought to our attention that some Train Operating Company staff are coming across instances where customers have amended the expiry dates on Railcards in order to extend their use. They are amending the 5 in 2005 to a 6 to give an extra year's validity on their Railcard. Retail and revenue protection staff are asked to pay particular attention to the expiry dates of Railcards and to confiscate any Railcards that they find to have been altered. During September, TransPennine Express is launching a flat fare child add-on for Senior Railcard holders. Its aim is to encourage Senior Railcard holders to take their grandchildren on the train for days out.
What is the TPE Senior Kids Add-On? • The £3.00 ticket is a flat fare child add-on which is available for children accompanying Senior Railcard holders.
Who is eligible for the TPE Senior Kids Add-On? • The £3.00 add-on is available for up to three children between the ages of 5 and 15, who are accompanying the Senior Railcard holder.
Where can the TPE Senior Kids Add-On be purchased? • This product can be purchased at all National Rail stations. • Where there are no facilities for the customer to purchase this ticket at station, it may also be retailed on train.
When is this product valid? • This Senior Kids add-on ticket has a restriction code of B1, which states that this ticket is valid "By any train except those timed to depart Mondays-Fridays before 0930." This is the case even when the Senior Railcard holder has a ticket with a different validity. • There are no restrictions on the use of this ticket at weekends. • The Return Portion of this ticket is valid for one calendar month.
What is the Price? • This product is priced at a flat fare of £3.00. On which routes is the TPE Senior Kids Add-On? • This product is available on all inter available fares which are priced by TransPennine Express. • In order to identify those fares which are priced by TransPennine Express, please look at the journey details in your fares manual. This will be identified by a TPE in the top left. • It is valid on the services of all train operators flows for which it is available. • Alternatively, this ticket will show up in modern TIS where available.
Other Terms and Conditions • This product is valid on all rail services on the flows for which it is available. It is NOT limited only to the services of TransPennine Express. • This product is valid in Standard Accommodation Only. • Reservations for this product are available.
