HEALTH UPDATES IOM continues with EVD prevention and preparedness activities in the 5 PoEs in , , Nimule Payam, and Wau County. In week twenty-fourth, 3,938 inbound travelers were screened bringing the cumulative number of travelers screened to 2,296,471. There’s increase in the number of travelers screened this week compared to that of last week. There was one traveler who underwent secondary screening in Nimule on 13th June 2020. This brings the total alert during this reporting week to 1. The traveler in question is a Ugandan truck driver who entered the country from Uganda having a high fever of 41.1°C (degree centigrade) which then was investigated by RRT and later isolated at Nimule isolation facility with swab sample collected and transported to Juba Public Health Viral Laboratory (PHVL) on 14th June 2020 by WHO driver.

DTM UPDATES Nine FMPs submitted data on time for the Weekly update. One FMP couldn’t submit data due to mobility restrictions related to COVID-19. Based on data submitted by Monday 15 June, 1,395 individuals were surveyed in groups on arrival to during the reporting period. The main regions of departure were Ituri (49.7% of respondents) and Haut-Uele (12.8%) in DRC, while the main reported counties of destination were Morobo (49.1%) and Juba (19.7%). Most respondents reported South Sudanese nationality (71.5%), followed by Ugandan (14.7%).
