Not only giant party leaders have passed away but also many small party leaders and ministers have expired. All these losses force us to face difficult situations in our nation. It is indeed a sad thing to know that there is no safety for our political leaders who safeguard us. Also our current generation leaders are threatened by terrorists. It is heartbreaking to know, some of our leaders names are under terrorists list. It is our supreme duty to pray for protection and good health of leaders of our Bharath nation!!! Shall we pray?? But in most of the Christian families, members do not have time to come together in the presence of God. Time seems to be a major factor that is affecting relationship in Christian families. The relationship between parents and children is very important and has to be nurtured for the betterment of the child and the family.Children these days do not want to be close to their parents, they are not willing to openly talk to parents and they do not want to discuss things with parents. Let’s see what is the reason behind this unwillingness. Firstly it is the fact that children feel parents are too old to understand their likes and interests. Now maybe that is true but is it not the duty of Christian children to make their parents understand what they feel and explain it out to them after all they are going to finance it. This attitude can be developed when the commandment, honour your father and mother is at the top of the mind of the children. Parents are the ones who have brought you thus far in life. As little children when you did not know what was good for you ,your parents consulted people and gave the best for you by putting you into good schools. So the strong foundation that you have is because of your parents. Can children forget the parents who have been the cause for their strong foundation. So as youngsters take time to make up your mind not to neglect them, spend time with them, their experience will really be very useful in your decision. They know the world for many more years then you know. Secondly talk to your parents every day. You might be a student in school, college or you may be working. When you get into the habit of sharing what took place during the day with your parents you will be watchful about what you do, you will think twice before doing anything wrong. Share your problems in School, College or work spot with your mother or father, they are better guides than your friends who are just an old as you. When you share your problem with your parents, you have developed an altar where prayers have started going up for you, so your problems will get solved faster with God’s intervention. Thirdly, cut down your time on face book with friends and take time to tell your parents about the latest development in the world. Do what they had done to you while you were young. Talk things like current affairs, sports and other important things with them. Forthly, eat one meal with your parents, meal time is the best time, to openly discuss things, talk your heart out and make your parents feel loved. Appreciate your mother for her cooking, appreciate your dad for something he has done. Parents though you don’t realize have been instrumental in your development, since you were children. Just imagine a situation when as soon as you are born parents decide that you are a liability, and they should not spend too much on you and they put you in an institution when you would not have gained any solid background. How would your life be? You would have to work hard to become something in life. Now your work is half done by parents. Do you realize it? Have you ever thought of it? How many sleepless nights your parents spent when you were down with temperature? How many days of leave they applied for your admission, to coach you for examination, to take you to school when the van driver is not there or when the cycle is punctured. Just flash back on your childhood and you will know how much you owe your parents. Allow your parents to be your friend, philosopher and guide throughout your life.     1 Indian Languages and Literature Introduction Thousands of years ago, the people of the Harappan civilisation knew how to write. Unfortunately, their script has not yet been deciphered. Despite this setback, it is safe to state that the literary traditions of India go back to over 3,000 years ago. India is a huge land with a continuous history spanning several millennia. There is a staggering degree of variety and diversity in the languages and dialects spoken by Indians. This diversity is a result of the influx of languages and ideas from all over the continent, mostly through migration from Central, Eastern and Western Asia. There are differences and variations in the languages and dialects as a result of several factors – ethnicity, history, geography and others. There is a broad social integration among all the speakers of a certain language. In the beginning languages and dialects developed in the different regions of the country in relative isolation. In India, languages are often a mark of identity of a person and define regional boundaries. Cultural mixing among various races and communities led to the mixing of languages and dialects to a great extent, although they still maintain regional identity. In free India, the broad geographical distribution pattern of major language groups was used as one of the decisive factors for the formation of states. This gave a new political meaning to the geographical pattern of the linguistic distribution in the country. According to the 1961 census figures, the most comprehensive data on languages collected in India, there were 187 languages spoken by different sections of our society.

In addition to running children homes, day care centers and primary schools we also run two English Medium Schools in Gujarat and Jharkhand in the neediest districts. Thus far, 192 children have completed their 10th std and 83 have completed their 12th std. from the Jhavda school in Gujarat. Introduction To describe and interpret the linguistic situation in Northern India1 in the second and the early first millennium B.C. is a difficult undertaking. We cannot yet read and interpret the Indus script with any degree of certainty, and we do not even know the language(s) underlying these inscriptions. Consequently, we can use only data from * archaeology, which provides, by now, a host of data; however, they are often ambiguous as to the social and, by their very nature, as to the linguistic nature of their bearers; * testimony of the Vedic texts , which are restricted, for the most part, to just one of the several groups of people that inhabited Northern India. But it is precisely the linguistic facts which often provide the only independent measure to localize and date the texts; * the testimony of the languages that have been spoken in South Asia for the past four thousand years and have left traces in the older texts. Apart from Vedic Skt., such sources are scarce for the older periods, i.e. the 2 millennia B.C. However, scholarly attention is too much focused on the early Vedic texts and on archaeology. Early Buddhist sources from the end of the first millennium B.C., as well as early Jaina sources and the Epics (with still undetermined dates of their various strata) must be compared as well, though with caution. Hedlund INTRODUCTION: This paper will focus on new Christian movements indigenous to India most of which are not well known to outsiders but are active, contextual and vibrant in witness. Indigenous Christianity which had significant growth in the twentieth century has roots in earlier attempts in Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. It includes the National Missionary Society and numerous other Indian initiatives. Asian incarnations of the gospel are found in historic as well as non-traditional Churches of several countries, but especially in India. Some of the independent Churches are perceived as deviant in theology or characterized by folk religious practices. Through their worship, practice and teaching many independent Churches respond to the day to day experience and grass-roots culture of the people. Theirs is a vigorous expression of Christian faith and witness of the Spirit in Asia today. HISTORIC PRECEDENCE An indigenous Church is one rooted in the culture from which it grows. Indigenous Christian movements are those which arise from within the local context. Unfortunately in India not infrequently Christianity is erroniously perceived as a foreign religion, less than Indian. The examples which follow are demonstrations of what Lamin Sannah calls “the translatability of the Gospel” as well as authentic Indian incarnations of Christian faith. “Translatability is the source of the success of Christianity across cultures.”1 The earliest example of indigenous Christianity in India is found in the St.
