Mustion, Commanding General, US Army Human Resources Command, will relinquish command to MG Thomas Seamands and retire from the US Army after more than 34 years of honorable service to the Army and the Nation. MG Mustion assumed command of Human Resources Command in August 2012 and has guided the command through an Army in persistent conflict and continuous deployments to an Army that is resetting and facing significant turbulence through a substantial draw down of forces. MG Mustion’s vision for future human resources support of Army operations resulted in his spearheading the new HR Optimization initiative that will accomplish the following: 1) Enable execution of Mission Command by MG Richard P.     To: Attorney General Barr Once again, the actions of the U.S. Department of Justice under your direction make clear that you and large swaths of the federal government do not care about justice for the American people. We recently learned that the FBI has turned over an estimated 20,000 to 25,000 pages of U.S. government documents to the defense attorneys representing the 9/11 terrorists being held at Guantanamo Bay. One of these terrorists is the architect of the 9/11 plot, Khalid Sheikh Mohamed. These same documents, however, were intentionally withheld by the DOJ and FBI from thousands of 9/11 families for use in our federal lawsuit against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding its complicity in the attacks. What information is in these documents? We know that they include: • the identification of multiple witnesses who transported two of the hijackers to Los Angeles International Airport; • information about the terrorist support cell in California during the time of the plot; and, • pictures identifying members of this support cell. All this information was deemed relevant and permissible by a federal judge to be used by the 9/11 families as part of our discovery process in our lawsuit against Saudi Arabia. In March 2018, Federal Judge Daniels in New York ordered discovery in the families’ lawsuit related to a Saudi government terrorist support cell in California. In April 2018, we subpoenaed the FBI for documents relating to Judge Daniels’ order. Over the past two years, however, the FBI and the Department of Justice have actively resisted turning over documents to the 9/11 community.

    First decade of the 21st Century in U.S. Army in Europe By U.S. Army Europe Public Affairs Dec. 29, 2010 Jan. 1, 2001, dawned on a relatively peaceful U.S. Army in Europe led by Gen. Montgomery C. Meigs and Command Sgt. Maj. David Lady. Ten years later, the winter sun still rises after physical training has started, and we still have troops in Kosovo, but now Gen. Carter Ham and Command Sgt. Maj. Capel lead a much leaner force actively engaged in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as throughout Eurasia. When the decade began, the commander-in-chief was William J. Clinton. As we move into 2011 it is Barack Obama. As President Obama has said, “For more than six decades, Europeans and Americans have stood shoulder to shoulder because our work together advances our interests and protects the freedoms we cherish as democratic societies. As the world has changed, so too has our alliance, and we are stronger, safer and more prosperous as a result.” As always, Army doctrine, organization, training, materiel, and NORMANDY, France -- U.S. Army Europe's Staff Sgt.
