Nährstoffarme Stillgewässer (Heideweiher) Und Ihre Pflanzenarten in Nordrhein-Westfalen – Mit Untersuchungen Zur Aktuellen Bestandsentwicklung
Abhandlungen aus dem Westfälischen Museum für Naturkunde 67 (3): 129 - 151 Münster 2005 Nährstoffarme Stillgewässer (Heideweiher) und ihre Pflanzenarten in Nordrhein-Westfalen – mit Untersuchungen zur aktuellen Bestandsentwicklung Klaus Kaplan, Bad Bentheim Abstract: In North Rhine-Westphalia, oligotrophic standing waters have their main distri- bution in the sandy plains. Such small-sized waters mostly comprise shallow ponds and pools. Their vegetation is, among others, characterised by a community of species that mainly display atlantic distribution with the shoreweed being the defining component (Lit- torelletea). Cultivation of heathland, cessation of beneficial uses, especially at the sites of the protect- ed waters, intensified uses of many other waters, as well as stress by nutrients and acids have resulted in the decline and strong endangerment of such oligotrophic habitats and their plant life. Under these circumstances, the status of the species of the Littorelletea communities remains critical inspite of considerable conservation efforts. This is docu- mented by presenting data of a population monitoring programme performed at selected sites and by results of a project involving the EU-wide protected species Luronium natans (annex II of the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Natural Habitats and of Wild Fauna and Flora, the Habitats Directive). In order to conserve the heathland ponds and their species a further reduction of nutrient and acid input is necessary as well as conservation and repeated management measures to maintain pioneer stages and to counteract earlier eutrophication and acidification. To raise pH values, a technique that has been successfully applied in the Netherlands should be test- ed, i.e. supplying nutrient poor groundwater after a demudding procedure. -

FAHRPLANINFO Plusbus-Linie 415 Und 342
