Assembly Instructions

Assembly Instructions

1. Preparation

1.1. Take four of the 42” uprights and tap an end plug into the standard end of each. 1.2. Place a screw in each T joint but only tighten the screws enough to hold them in. Make sure the screw points do not protrude into the inside of the joints as they will scratch the coating when they are attached to the tubes. 1.3. Take the six 16¾” spacers. Push T joints onto both ends of all of them. Lay each assembly flat to ensure the joints are parallel as shown below then measure the exposed tube and ensure that it is 13 ” long. If the measurement is greater than this you will need to

13 ”

use a rubber mallet to knock the joints .

2. Assembling the section

2.1. Take the two Monet curves with plain ends, the two Monet curves with one reduced end and two of the 16¾” spacer bar assemblies. Refer to the diagram. Slide a spacer onto the horizontal section of the two Monet curves with a reduced end, connecting them together so that they are parallel. Repeat for the plain ended curves. 2.2. Refer to the diagram below. Take two moisture seals and two of the 16¾” spacers. Slide a moisture seal onto the two reduced tube ends and connect the two roof halves together. Ensure that the joins are covered by the moisture seals. Temporarily slide a spacer assembly onto each side of the roof section.

Do not attach these spacers. 2.3. Measure the diagonals of the roof section to ensure it is square and adjust if necessary.

3. Site preparation

3.1. Place the roof structure in the site that you intend to install the arch and mark the positions of the four uprights. Remove the roof section and use the Hole maker provided to make 13” deep holes at the four marks. Ensure that the holes are all vertical and the same depth. 3.2. Remove the two temporary lower spacers from the roof assembly. 3.3. Place one of the uprights with an end plug in each hole and ensure that the tops are level. Adjust if necessary.

4. Final assembly

4.1. Take the two uprights with end plugs fitted and place upright in each hole, end plug down. Check that the tops of the uprights are level. 4.2. Attach the bottom spacer bar between the uprights. 4.3. Slide a moisture seal onto the top of each upright and fit next 60” upright, cover the joint with the moisture seal. 4.4. Attach the middle & top spacer bars between the uprights. (This extended height Wall Arch will require the use of steps and probably assistance from another person when fitted and securing the roof section)

4.5. Slide the remaining two moisture seals onto the uprights. 4.6. Lift the roof section onto the uprights. Ensure that the moisture seals cover the tube joins. 4.7. Take the two 6.5” tubes from the wall fixing kit and connect them into the roof. Mark the positions of the fixing screws on the wall. Remove the two 6.5” tubes and drill the holes. Place a rawl plug in each hole. 4.8. Slide a moisture seal onto the reduced ends of the 6.5” tubes and tap an end plug into the bottom of each. Connect them to the roof again ensuring that the holes are aligned with the drilled holes in the wall. Slide the moisture seals up to cover the joins and then attach the arch to the wall using the screws and washers provided. Note that the washers fit between the 6.5” tubes and the wall. 4.9. Now make fully tighten the screws in all the T- joints. 4.10. If you purchased the lattice infill, refer to the diagram and attach it using the ties provided.
