Visit the Regional Conservatory of Old Varieties of Fruits and Vines. Sentier du Well known in the past, these were abundant in the countryside orchards. But Patrimoine nowadays, a certain number of fruit and vine varieties are at risk of Min. alt. Max. alt. disappearing. The Tarn Conseil Général therefore created the Conservatory in 142 m 450 m 1986. Its mission is to put into practice environmental policy linked to the preservation of biodiversity and fits in with the policy of sustainable Level: Average diffi culty development. So far, more than 800 old varieties of fruit trees (apple, pear, cherry and peach) and 110 varieties of grape vine have been planted; in total WAYMARKING CODE RIGHT 4000 trees and 550 vines. Free guided visits are offered. On the fi rst bend, go down the path on the left, towards the Verdier fountain. At the foun- tain, turn left. Go up to the left on the tarmac road. 2 At the «stop» sign, cross over to take the path which makes a hairpin bend to the right (you cross the GRR46). Where paths branch off, 60 m further on, go to the right, then, opposite the Conservatory orchard, right again. On the bend, take the track which forks to the left. Where paths diverge after the laundry trough, turn left. At the following path crossing, go right. Continue straight on. With the little valley in front of you, bear right (Audoulou waterfall) . Continue straight on. 3 At the waymeet, with the Audoulou bridge in front of you, turn right. Follow the watercourse upstream. At the top of the hill, turn left. Take the Roman Road to the left. Where paths branch off, go to the right; 50 m further on, go left. At the sign (Fountain 50 m), go left. Turn right on to the forest track.

Alternative route: At the waymeet, with the Audoulou in front of you, cross the stream and follow the right bank. Where paths branch at the Le Roc farm, go up to the right. When you cross the GRR46, turn right. 7 At the following waymeet, go up to the right. Go up to the left in zig zags. Continue from n° 6. 4 At the Plégade roundabout, fork left. At the track, turn left. On a bend, take the grassy track to the left. At the Puech de l’Ayol crossroads (326 m), cross over to take the path opposite. 5 Where paths diverge, on the way down, go up to the right on the GRR46. 6 Leave the GRR46, and head off to the left. Go straight on, past two paths going off on the right (Larroque path). Go past to the left of the La Rouquette archaeological dig site. Go down between two meadows to Pont Bourguet. At the road, go left. Immediately after, at the end of the bridge, fork left. The track becomes tarmac up to the tennis courts. At the courts, go up the steep slope to the left taking you back
