Choose a fire and rescue career with unique and rewarding challenges, providing asset and aircraft rescue firefighting services on air bases, both domestically and operationally.
You'll be trained in advanced first aid and given the skills to respond quickly and decisively to aircraft crashes, motor vehicle accidents, wildfires and chemical contamination. Your critical mission will be to minimise casualties and the destruction of infrastructure and environment, whilst ensuring the safety of aircraft and defence assets to help maintain the Air Force’s capability. Take responsibility for military law enforcement in this exciting role that builds on civilian police work, and has the added dimensions of protecting personnel and equipment to safeguard military operations.

Your responsibilities will range from the high-tech onboard computers that control, aim and guide the weapons, to the integrity of the missiles and bombs themselves. You'll also be trained to handle, load and prepare armaments, as well as maintain aircraft ejection seats and fire extinguishing systems.
