Students take the following courses:

LTIT 250: The Soul of Italian Poetry- From Dante to the Hermetics - 3 cr.

LTIT 350: Landscape, Poetry and Ligurian Identity in Eugenio Montale - 3 cr.

Dr. Maggiari's program will be located in Lerici, a picturesque inlet of the Gulf of Poets along the Ligurian Riviera. This small town is called Perla del Golfo (the pearl of the gulf), because of its breathtaking beauty. The area around the Gulf of Poets attracted many writes in the early 19th century and the English poets and Shelley spent some of their life here.

You can take one of the hiking trails through the Park Monte Marcello to the small nearby fishing villages of Fiascherino and which certainly deserve a visit.
