Campaigns and Initiatives SECURE YOUR CAR Police are investigating a number of reports of items being stolen from vehicles whereby access is being gained without any obvious signs of forced entry to the cars. Police are urging everyone to take the time to stop and think about what additional security measures you can take to make prevent you becoming a victim of crime. • Double check your vehicle is locked when leaving it unattended. • Remove any valuables from your car overnight. • If your car has keyless entry / locking please take extra care to ensure you vehicle is locked. • Keep your car keys in a safe place, preferably not next to the front door. WINTER WELLNESS Connecting Communities, Challenging Stigma The Mental Health Reference Group is hosting community events on: • Port Town Hall Monday 20th January 1pm – 4.30pm • Town Hall Monday 24th February 1pm – 4.30pm The events will have taster sessions, such as mindfulness, so why not come along and try something new? Community Warden Reports Last month there were a total of 112 Community Warden Calls, which is average for antisocial behaviour incidents across the past year.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Last month there were 30 call outs for the fire service to respond to 14 primary and 16 secondary fires, totalling 527 fires over the past year. Primary fires generally involve property and include buildings, caravans, motor vehicles and plant and machinery. Secondary fires are often minor and include the burning of rubbish, grass and derelict properties.

Action Taken Community Wardens continue to respond to calls regarding antisocial behaviour from the public as well as identifying issues of community safety to promote resolution at the earliest possible stage.

Action Taken 40% of Community Warden incidents were in relation to a youth disorder at the George Road Pavilion. Community Wardens are proactively patrolling this location. Community Wardens continue to respond to calls regarding antisocial behaviour from the public as well as identifying issues of community safety to promote resolution at the earliest possible stage.

Action Taken Over a third of Community Warden incidents were requests for wardens to witness noise complaints over various locations. Community Wardens continue to respond to calls regarding antisocial behaviour from the public as well as identifying issues of community safety to promote resolution at the earliest possible stage.

Campaigns and Initiatives SECURE YOUR CAR Police are investigating a number of reports of items being stolen from vehicles whereby access is being gained without any obvious signs of forced entry to the cars. Police are urging everyone to take the time to stop and think about what additional security measures you can take to make prevent you becoming a victim of crime. • Double check your vehicle is locked when leaving it unattended. • Remove any valuables from your car overnight. • If your car has keyless entry / locking please take extra care to ensure you vehicle is locked. • Keep your car keys in a safe place, preferably not next to the front door. Campaigns and Initiatives SECURE YOUR CAR Police are investigating a number of reports of items being stolen from vehicles whereby access is being gained without any obvious signs of forced entry to the cars. Police are urging everyone to take the time to stop and think about what additional security measures you can take to make prevent you becoming a victim of crime. • Double check your vehicle is locked when leaving it unattended. • Remove any valuables from your car overnight. • If your car has keyless entry / locking please take extra care to ensure you vehicle is locked. • Keep your car keys in a safe place, preferably not next to the front door. Action Taken The majority of Community Warden incidents were for the removal of materials for bonfires. The Community Wardens continue to respond to calls regarding antisocial behaviour from the public as well as identifying issues of community safety to promote resolution at the earliest possible stage.

Campaigns and Initiatives SECURE YOUR CAR Police are investigating a number of reports of items being stolen from vehicles whereby access is being gained without any obvious signs of forced entry to the cars. Police are urging everyone to take the time to stop and think about what additional security measures you can take to make prevent you becoming a victim of crime. • Double check your vehicle is locked when leaving it unattended. • Remove any valuables from your car overnight. • If your car has keyless entry / locking please take extra care to ensure you vehicle is locked. • Keep your car keys in a safe place, preferably not next to the front door. Please report anything suspicious to Police by calling 101 or Community wardens on 0800 01 317 01 or Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.

WINTER WELLNESS Connecting Communities, Challenging Stigma The Mental Health Reference Group is hosting community events on: • Port Glasgow Town Hall Monday 20th January 1pm – 4.30pm • Greenock Town Hall Monday 24th February 1pm – 4.30pm The events will have taster sessions, such as mindfulness, so why not come along and try something new?
