A number of contributions p ence which, for different reasons, could not be published here, will appear in the next issue of of Science and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia. A peculiar feature of the Conference and of this issue of Zbornik is that some of the papers present the first results of the Greek-Serbian project on the interaction of Byzan- iium and Serbia in the last century of their existence, carried out in cooperation by the Institute of Byzantine Research (Athens) of the National Hellenic Re- siarch Foundation and the Institute for Byzantine Studies of the Serbian Acad- emy of Sciences and Arts (Belgrade). The interdisciplinary composition of Zbirnikreflects the schedule of the Conference' which, in its turn, differed from its program only in the absence of some announced speakers.
