Uncontrolled copy if printed NXP Semiconductors Published ECO-Products Substance Control Sustainability 7/20/2020 for Products and Packaging Sustainability and EHS Page 2 of 58 New Doc Identifier: NXPOMS-1719007347-1991 Old System Identifier: 12MWS00047B; 12MWS00120B; NX3-00119 1.0 Objectives / Purpose This specification describes the NXP requirements for the disclosure, reporting and analytical testing, of Prohibited, Restricted and Declarable subtances; with the objective of ensuring that NXP products are compliant with international/national product substance regulations and all NXP requirements, pertaining to substances, set forth within. This specification identifies substances that are prohibited from, or restricted in, NXP product and packaging materials, substance usage exemptions authorized by NXP for use of restricted substances, and NXP designated declarable substances. 2.0 Scope This specification applies to all direct providers of product or packaging materials, subcontracted and external final manufacturing suppliers (eFMs), turn-key product suppliers, and die/wafer suppliers, who are classified as “Supplier(s)” unless otherwise specified. It applies to all Supplier materials delivered and used for NXP semiconductor products that are intended to be put on the consumer market, or intended to be used, by the business, in semiconductor products for evaluation purposes; it also applies to all Supplier packaging materials delivered and used for shipping NXP products to customers. This specification applies to NXP internal evaluations of Supplier materials for use in all NTI/NPI/BCAM deliverables; all NTI/NPI/BCAM Supplier materials and packaging are required to comply with this specification. This specification does not apply to internal manufacturing hardware, indirect materials, and consumable internal materials not designed to remain in NXP semiconductor products. 3.0 Roles, Responsibilities, Risks 3.1 Roles and Responsibilities Who What Supplier(s) Responsible for complying with the requirements in the ECO- Products Substance Control for Products and Packaging regarding NXP Prohibited, Restricted and Declarable substances; providing material content declarations, analytical testing reports, weight data reports, notifying ECO-Products in the event of material modifications impacting material composition and monitoring all applicable environmental material and/or packaging content legislation/requirements ensuring legal compliance. Also responsible for submitting requested Conflict Minerals declarations and ECO-Products Self-Assessment to the ECO-Products Team. Global Procurement Responsible for supporting the ECO-Products Team with collection and NXP Final of accurate environmental documentation, including material content Manufacturing declarations and analytical testing reports, from Suppliers and to ensure products, packaging, and materials, meet or exceed substance control specifications. Uncontrolled copy if printed NXP Semiconductors Published ECO-Products Substance Control Sustainability 7/20/2020 for Products and Packaging Sustainability and EHS Page 3 of 58 New Doc Identifier: NXPOMS-1719007347-1991 Old System Identifier: 12MWS00047B; 12MWS00120B; NX3-00119 Who What Product Package Responsible for selecting, and qualifying, materials designed to Engineer and Package meet ECO-Products requirements; for supporting the ECO-Products Innovation Team with the collection of accurate environmental documentation, including material content declarations and analytical testing reports, from Suppliers and to ensure products, packaging, and materials, meet or exceed substance control specifications during the NPI/NTI/BCaM process. Responsible for coordinating with NXP Final Manufacturing and Supplier(s) to obtain weight data reports during the NPI/NTI/BCaM process. Sustainability Auditors Responsible for auditing Supplier substance control compliance and for establishing corrective actions and/or communications. ECO-Products Responsible for evaluating Supplier submitted MCD, analytical testing reports, Conflict Minerals declarations, and ECO-Product Self-Assessments for compliance with ECO-Products Substance Control for Products and Packaging and all applicable environmental material and/or packaging content legislation/requirements . Responsible for evaluating regulatory changes, industry standards, customer requirements and supplier risks to define effective substance control specifications and procedures. 3.2 Risks There are no financial risks associated with the operation of this procedure. Eco-Products Substance Control for Products and Packaging implements policies to address and reduce the risk of non-compliance, whether intentional or accidental. Non-compliance refers to regulatory requirements and customer terms and contracts of Sales. Non-compliance with this procedure can have a severe and lasting impact on NXP image, resulting in loss of business. In cases of non-compliance with product or packaging regulatory requirements, risks can be more severe including customer warranty penalties, government blocked shipments, fines, operational facility closures, and/or jail time for responsible parties. 4.0 Flowchart(s) N/A 5.0 Procedure All requirements,
