    Fahrrad­ und E­Bike­Routen im Glarnerland. Andere sind grösser, doch nur wenige Regionen sind so vielfältig und kontrastreich wie das Glarnerland. Umgeben von der beeindruckenden Bergwelt treffen reizvolle Gegen­ sätze aufeinander: Hier die traditionsreiche Industriekultur, dort die erhabene Bergwelt mit dem UNESCO Welterbe, der Tektonikarena Sardona, welche mit der Glarner Haupt­ überschiebung die Entstehungsgeschichte der alpinen Bergwelt aufzeigt. Das familienfreundliche Braunwald, Elm und das Martinsloch oder der pittoreske Klönta­ lersee: Im Glarnerland gibt es nicht nur viel Faszinierendes, sondern auch Unbekanntes zu entdecken. Und bekannte Namen gibt es noch und noch: Das Elmer Citro liebt jedes Kind, berüchtigt im wahrsten Sinne ist der würzige Schabziger, legendär die Skisport­ ikone Vreni Schneider. Übrigens: Das weltberühmte Bircher­Müesli trat seinen Siegeszug von Braunwald aus an. Trotzdem geht es hier immer noch sehr bodenständig und familiär zu. So kehrt man – auch schon nach einem Tag – völlig entspannt in den Alltag zurück. Nachstehend eine Auswahl der beliebtesten Fahrradtouren im Glarnerland. Juli 1942 Fragmente aus der Vereinsgeschichte Es ist weder unsere Aufgabe, noch unser Ziel, eine geschlossene Gesamtdarstellung über die Vereinsgeschichte der ersten 50 Jahre des Turnvereins Neunkirch zu bieten. Wir beschränken uns darauf, in knapper Form einige Fragmente darzustellen, welche dem Vereinsleben sein bestimmtes Gepräge gegeben, die treibenden Kräfte und die Hauptlinien der Entwicklung deutlich werden zu lassen und die es wert sind, festgehalten zu werden. Oberste Maxime ist absolute Zuverlässigkeit und Wahrheit der gebotenen Überschau. Nicht Personen, der Sache allein gehört unser Mühen. Jeder andere Standpunkt wäre dem innern Wesen des Turnvereins gleichermassen zuwider und unwürdig. Leider ist das Aktenmaterial gerade über die Gründungsjahre nur noch lückenhaft vorhanden, aber der Verein hat das Glück, nach 50 Jahren seines Bestehens noch vier Gründungsmitglieder in seiner Mitte zu haben, die lebendige Vereinsgeschichte verkörpernd. Interessant und bedeutsam ist die Tatsache, dass bei der Gründung des Vereins politische Einflüsse mit im Spiele waren. Es sind dieselben latenten Spannungen und Kräfte, die zu Beginn der neunziger Jahre dem politischen Leben, des Gesamtvaterlandes, den Stempel aufdrückten, jenes zähe Ringen der Minoritäten um eine gerechte Vertretung und Mitverantwortung am politischen Leben.
