Motorists should drive with caution through work zones and adhere to posted detour signs and speed limits. Please pay special attention to the closures noted in red. Regularly scheduled construction and maintenance-related lane closures on Florida’s Turnpike operated roads are suspended for the Good Friday & Easter holiday from 6 a.m. Friday, April 2, to 10 p.m. Sunday, April 4, unless otherwise indicated below. CENTRAL TURNPIKE MAINLINE/SR 91 (Mileposts 188 to 240) OSCEOLA COUNTY ALL-ELECTRONIC TOLLING (AET) CONVERSION PROJECT PHASE 8 ON CENTRAL TURNPIKE MAINLINE/SR 91 FROM THE LANTANA TOLL PLAZA TO THE THREE LAKES TOLL PLAZA (MILEPOSTS 88-236) Northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 from north of Canoe Creek Service Plaza to Three Lakes Toll Plaza (Milepost 236) Overnight single lane closure, 10 p.m. Sunday, April 4, to 6 a.m. Monday, April 5. Overnight single lane closures, 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, April 5, and nightly through Thursday, April 8. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the conversion of Central Turnpike Mainline/SR 91 to an All-Electronic Tolling (AET) collection system from milepost 88 to milepost 236. The overall AET conversion scope includes the installation of new AET gantries on the mainline, removal of the existing mainline and existing toll plazas on the interchange ramps and addition of several new Dynamic Message Signs (DMS). Construction will continue through late 2024. Approximate cost: $107 million. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise is resurfacing Florida’s Turnpike/State Road (SR) 91 from milepost 190 to milepost 198, in Osceola County. Work will include resurfacing the Turnpike ramps and Tandem Truck parking lot at Yeehaw Junction/SR 60 (Exit 193) and widening a portion of Florida’s Turnpike at Yeehaw Junction to provide longer entrance and exit lanes. Construction will continue through 2022. Approximate cost: $16.7 million. NORTHERN TURNPIKE MAINLINE/SR 91 (Mileposts 240 to 309) OSCEOLA, ORANGE, SEMINOLE, LAKE & SUMTER COUNTIES ALL-ELECTRONIC TOLLING (AET) CONVERSION PROJECT ON NORTHERN TURNPIKE MAINLINE/SR 91 FROM KISSIMMEE PARK ROAD TO INTERSTATE 75 (MILEPOST 236 TO MILEPOST 309) Northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 just south of the Leesburg Plaza (Mileposts 285 to 287) Overnight single lane closures, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, April 5, and nightly through Thursday, April 8. Daytime shoulder closures, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, April 5, and daily through Thursday, April 8. Detour information: • US 27 traffic wishing to access northbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 will be directed to travel north on US 27 to CR 470/CR 48 and travel west on CR 470 to access northbound Florida’s Turnpike. Southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 exit ramp to US 27/SR 19/Tavares/Clermont (Exit 289) Overnight full ramp closure, 9 p.m. Monday, April 5, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 6. If necessary, this closure may also occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, and nightly through Thursday, April 8. Detour information: • Southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 traffic wishing to access US 27/SR 19/Tavares/Clermont (Exit 289) will be directed to exit at CR 470/Leesburg (Exit 296) and travel east on CR 470 to access US 27. Southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 exit ramp to CR 470 (Exit 296) Overnight full ramp closure, 9 p.m. Monday, April 5, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 6. If necessary, this closure may also occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, and nightly through Thursday, April 8. * Please note, this ramp will not be closed at the same time as the southbound exit ramp to US 27/SR 19/Tavares/Clermont (Exit 289). Detour information: • Southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 traffic wishing to access CR 470 (Exit 296) will be directed to exit at US 27/SR 19/Tavares/Clermont (Exit 289) and travel north on US 27 to access CR 470. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The overall AET conversion scope includes milling and resurfacing, minor widening, lighting, highway signing, guardrail, toll facilities and other construction activities on the Northern Turnpike Mainline/SR 91 from south of Kissimmee Park Road (milepost 236) to I-75 (milepost 309) for 70 miles in Osceola, Orange, Lake and Sumter counties. Construction will continue through mid-2021. Approximate cost: $17.5 million. NORTHERN TURNPIKE MAINLINE/SR 91 WIDENING PROJECT FROM OSCEOLA PARKWAY TO BEACHLINE EXPRESSWAY & TOLL SR 417 RAMPS Northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 between Osceola Parkway and Beachline Expressway/SR 528 (Mileposts 249 to 255) Overnight single lane closures, 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, April 4, and nightly through Thursday, April 8.
