The collection includes two species of Thalassocarididae and 18 species of Pandalidae. A new species, Plesionika longidactylus, is described and compared with P. exigua, P. mexicana, P. pumila and P. izumiae. Four species are recorded from Chinese waters for the first time: Plesionika kensleyi Chace, 1985, P. philippinensis Chace, 1985, P. pumila Chace, 1985 and P. spinensis Chace, 1985. KEY WORDS. – South China Sea, Crustacea, Decapoda, Pandaloidea, taxonomy, new species. INTRODUCTION described and illustrated.
