CHAMPIONSHIP BULLETIN 1 2015 AUSTRALIAN UNDER 14 BOYS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS Welcome to those of you who will be attending the 2015 Australian Under 14 Boys Club Championships in Perth, Western Australia. For those of you looking to head to Western Australia, we strongly encourage you to do so. WA is a great tourist destination with beachside towns of Fremantle, Mandurah and Bunbury now within a 90 minute drive. For those looking to head to our great wine regions, the Swan Valley (1 hour) and Margaret River (4 hours) is a short trip away. Perth, capital of Western Australia, sits where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Its suburbs lie along sandy beaches overlooking the Indian Ocean. The huge riverside King’s Park and Botanic Gardens on Mt Eliza offer sweeping views of the City. For more information regarding accommodation/attractions/restaurants, please follow this link: http://www.westernaustralia.com/ The Championships will be held at Bendat Basketball Centre (BBC) from Monday 28 September to Saturday 3 October 2015. It is situated in the western suburbs of Perth in the Shire of Subiaco. The venue address is 201 Underwood Avenue Floreat WA 6014. Basketball WA’s contact telephone number is (08) 6272 0741. BWA has previously hosted the various Championships at the Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium. In 2010, Basketball WA moved its offices to the WA Basketball Centre, and in 2012, hosted the U18 Australian Junior Championships and Kevin Coombs Cup. Bendat Basketball Centre was previously called the WA Basketball Centre and is a purpose built Basketball Centre. The Stadium boasts eight courts with a Show Court that can hold up to 2,000 fans. Basketball WA is excited to showcase the venue with all Under 14 Club Championships games being played here. The main Show court arena is air conditioned and the other main court arena has large ceiling fans over each of the six Courts. There is a Café located in the middle of the main Complex and we have ATM and Eftpos facilities. 2015 AUSTRALIAN UNDER 14 BOYS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS Admission Charges Admission Details The pre-purchasing of weekly tickets will be Ticket Daily Weekly via Basketball WA’s website by end of August Family Pass and available until Friday 25 September. $35 $155 (2 Adults & 2 Children) Pre-paid tickets will be available for collection Adult $15 $80 at BBC from Friday 25 September. General (Over 18) admission tickets will be available for purchase Senior $10 $55 at the main desk on game days. All Monday 28 September. Further details in the teams will be required to be available for team photos and next Bulletin individual portraits on Sunday 27th of September prior to their training session. Further will be in the next Bulletin. Championship Ball Closing Ceremony & Medal Presentations The official ball used in all games will be The Official Closing ceremony and Medal Spalding TF 1000. Presentations will be held on Saturday 3 October. More details will follow in the next Bulletin.
