The Panel believes that implementation of its recommendations will enhance the role that local government plays in supporting communities. This investment will transform the city into a global destination and gateway to Western Australia. Piece by piece this investment boom is removing the constraints on tourism growth. From hotel rooms to stadium seats, Perth is undergoing a major upgrade in capacity and building world-class venues, precincts and facilities. KEY PIECES The key new pieces of Destination Perth are: • Perth Arena • New Museum WA • Elizabeth Quay & Major Precincts • Perth Stadium • Crown Perth • Bars & Restaurants • New Hotels • Perth Airport • Natural Assets While each tourism asset brings new capacity to Perth, it is the combined synergy of these assets that will make Perth a global tourism destination. As these new pieces fall into place, Perth’s transformation into a global destination accelerates. MISSING PIECES The multi-billion dollar investment underway in tourism infrastructure is building capacity for increased tourism. However, to realise this tourism growth, Perth must also invest in the smaller projects that will attract visitors and drive demand for the new restaurants, hotels, venues and precincts. New demand drivers are the missing pieces needed to complete Destination Perth. The three missing pieces are: • The Perth Cable Car – to create a signature experience; • Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre Expansion – to increase business events and delegates; • Branding, Marketing and Events – to fill the restaurants, hotels, venues and precincts. -

The West Perth Football Club is the oldest club in the West Australian Football League and aims to be a premier location for entertaining, family friendly football in comfortable and social surroundings. The below Code of Conduct applies to all Members of the West Perth Football Club at home-and-away games, official Club or League functions and other non-football situations or events endorsed or supported by the Club. All Members and supporters are therefore requested to uphold the following requirements and values including: 1. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all persons involved in the West Perth Football Club (WPFC) and the West Australian Football League (WAFL) by treating everyone equally regardless of gender, race, ethnic origin or religion. 2. Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour by not using foul or abusive language, racial vilification or physical intimidation towards umpires, opposition players and coaches, game officials or other spectators. 3. Not engage in conduct which would be likely to bring the WPFC or WAFL into disrepute. 4. Respect the right of other spectators to enjoy the game in an enjoyable and safe environment. 5. Respect the player’s space whilst on the oval and allow them room to warm up, enter and leave the oval and at game breaks. 6. Not engage in verbal abuse or direct foul language towards umpires or umpires officials at any stage during or after the game and allow all game officials to enter and depart the playing arena without interruption or disturbance. 7. Follow the directions of WPFC appointed game day security or club administration staff in relation to all matters both on and off the field. -

Examining Perth’s Performing Arts Infrastructure Actions to position Perth as a global leader in the arts June 2013 About the Committee for Perth The Committee for Perth is a member funded think tank focused on maintaining and improving the liveability of the Perth metropolitan region by ensuring its vibrancy, economic prosperity, cultural diversity and sustainability. We currently have over 90 members representing a broad cross sector of the business community, civic institutions and local government and rely solely on our members’ financial contribution to enable us to undertake the work, research and activities that we do. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACT 2005 (WA) QUARANTINE (CLOSING THE BORDER) DIRECTIONS APPROVAL FOR AFL TEAM (CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB) UNDER PARAGRAPHS S(e)(ii) AND 27(r) The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic on 11 March 2020. On 15 March 2020, the Minister for Emergency Services declared a state of emergency with effect from 12 a.m. on 16 March 2020 in respect of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 pursuant to section 56 of the Emergency Management Act 2005 (WA) (Act) (State of Emergency). The State ofEmergency applies to the State of WesternAustralia. On 5 April 2020, I made the Quarantine (Closing the Border) Directions (Directions). Under paragraph 27(r) of the Directions, an exempt traveller within the meaning of the Directions includes any person or category of person who I approve in writing, provided that the person or a person in that category complies with any terms or conditions to which that approval is subject. Under paragraph 5( e)(ii) of the Directions, additional approval is required forcertain persons who have been in New South Wales or Victoria in the 14 days before they enter Western Australia. I, Christopher John Dawson, Commissioner of Police and State Emergency Coordinator, now give written approval to Carlton relevant persons to enter WesternAustralia subject to the following terms and conditions. PREAMBLE 1. The purpose of this approval is to provide for the te1ms and conditions under which Carlton relevant persons may enter Western Australia as exempt travellers under the Directions for the purposes of the AFL 2020 Perth Quarantine Hub in order to limit the spread ofCOVID-19. -

In This issue Congratulations to all the teams that made the SBL finals and in particular to the grand NITP Program 2 finalists and eventual winners. To see different teams in the grand final is certainly a positive sign for the health of the SBL competition. West Coast Waves 3 At the junior level, WABL finals are underway with the grand finals scheduled for Sunday update 23rd of September at the WA Basketball Centre. Best wishes to all the teams remaining in the race to be crowned 2012 champions. Advanced Coach 4 Program The BWA Annual Awards Dinner is being held this weekend with approximately 200 attending where significant achievements and contributions from participants and volunteers will be acknowledged and Member Update - 6 rewarded. Court Hire Cost The majority of the West Coast Waves squad have now arrived in Perth and we are looking forward to seeing the new look team under coach Kennedy Kereama play some great basketball during the season. SBL Kicks101 Grand 7 Final It would be remiss of me not to mention the current issue with proposed court hire increases at the WA Basketball Centre. From 1 July this year, the cost of court hire has increased by over $100,000. A similar Brett’s Blurb 10 increase is proposed from 1 July 2013. The sport cannot afford this. -
